Clean Sex

How do you feel about sex and hygeine? Is a little b.o. okay? Is it actually a turn-on? Is it best fresh out of the shower? What about morning breath? Do you have to brush your teeth first? Do you make your mate?

I really need us both to have fresh breath to enjoy things. This is especially so because my wife and I have different diets. She eats things I don't. If she hasn't brushed, I'm distracted because I'm thinking about whether or not she has a chunk of shrimp (which I don't eat) between her teeth. Not sexy.

I'm not particular about a little funk and I try to stay away from my wife when she's just taken a shower because I think it might frustrate her to get messed up after she just washed. But the few times we've had fun with her just getting out of the shower were very pleasant. A fresh smell makes the experience much better for me.

I prefer brushed teeth, but am not too particular if she ate some fruit or something else as long as it wasn't too long ago. I prefer her lady bits to have a bit of character when I have my head down there so a short while after cleaning is preferable to just cleaned. Her light scent is a turn on.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

I guess it depends...I was always a bit aroused by my sweaty man, after a basketball game, but I would prefer he showered first. Same with other types of activities, working and having a strong smell isn't necessarily a turn off.
Breath is important to me, but freshly brushed teeth isn't imperative.
Not sure how I'd be now.
For myself I'm much more particular. I prefer to be very clean, but, I often let that go if their preferences were for me to be "less fresh".

Not having the heart to ask my wife to brush her teeth has actually stopped me from initiating many times.

My ex husband, in the later years, got to be quite disgusting and refused to do anything despite my pleadings. He chewed some type of tobacco and it was always all over his teeth, & he expected me to kiss him that way. I was repulsed by it. He also wouldn't brush before bed or even rinse, even when I asked him to for cuddling. It has a strong odor, so even facing his direction I could smell it.
That was not ok.

I like a "natural" scent. I'm not into bad hygiene, in reference to someone who just chooses not to bathe. I'm quite particular about "bad bacteria" that may be in/on their nether regions that I don't want transmitted into or onto mine. :-) However, a good natural scent, even with light BO is actually a turn on to me if the physical chemistry is right with a person. I've noticed there is a strong correlation between my physical chemistry with someone and my appreciation of their scent. I'm not sure which comes first, but the correlation is definitely there. I do NOT like strong/heavy cologne or any strong artificial scents. I'm currently dating someone much younger than me and on our first date I was so worried he'd show up drowning in cologne. When he didn't, I just wanted to hug him. Lol.

Breath? Well, I'm super sensitive about my own breath. During the day I chew gum after I eat anything. But generally when I date someone, they don't and so far it has never really caused me any major issues. I am more tolerant of some morning breath (cause we all have it), than I am of someone who has just eaten something rank (garlic, onions, fish, etc) breathing in my face. For some reason, the smell of food on someone's breath has always really bothered me. It would definitely distract me during sex, but I'd probably just get on top and put my hand over their mouth. :-D

I have sex with my girlfriend and my husband, NOt at the same time. With my girlfriend I prefer fresh out of the shower and so does she. With my husband, I like it best when he comes home from work with a shower. I hadn't thought about it but I guess it's that man smell I like. Tooth brushing is a necessity for both.

I have to say i'm not thinking much about it as long as it's not bad smell or taste. I remember being with a smoker, that was a turn off she also was not to fresh downstairs and that was bad. With my SO as long as it's not been days since shower a little sweaty body after a little run or workout sessions no problem. There are different sexy aspects of a clean body to a little sweaty action. But as long as it's within a day of shower I'm fine usually.

As long as my fiancee doesn't have onion breath or something, I don't generally think about it and it doesn't bother me. Onion is the only thing I can't stand, and he knows that if he wants to kiss me afterwards, he has to have some gum/brush his teeth. Likewise, he can't stand the taste of olives, so if I have olives, I take care of my breath before kissing him.

However, I do love a fresh smell. Brushed teeth, smelling of soap. It's a major turn-on for me haha. If we do have some fun after a shower, we usually get back in together afterwards just to freshen ourselves up again.

I'm lucky enough that my fiancee isn't a smoker and doesn't have any bad hygiene. He doesn't have an active job, which means he doesn't smell at the end of the day, and he is very respectful of his cleanliness - he will use deodorant if he thinks he's a bit on the nose :P

To be honest I’m not fussed if my wife smells of BO or has bad breath… I’m just happy to have sex… LOL!
Sometimes my wife will roll over to kiss me and ask “have you cleaned your teeth”? – which translates into “you have bad breath”
She wouldn’t want to have sex with me if I was all hot and sweaty / smelly either
