"Conclusion" was overstated. I should have said that answering your question in the affirmative might be reading more into the study than the facts allow.

And I'm not really speculating about female homosexual relationships. I remember when I first heard of the phenomenon called "lesbian bed death" from an interview with Rosie Odonnell describing her concerns about her own relationship. This was probably close to a decade and a half ago. There's some debate about that term, but not much about lebians having sex less frequently. The science has been consistent on that fact for a while.

When they do have sex, it seems they do it longer, though. That may account for a higher percentage of their encounters involving orgasm.

Ah, yes "Lesbian bed death is a term coined by University of Washington sociologist Pepper Schwartz in her 1983 book American Couples." (from Wikipedia). The whole study was discredited for flaws.

So lesbians have sex less but are more satisfied in their sex life. Heterosexual women have a lot more sex but don't orgasm at the same rate during those encounters while the guys they are with have a very high percentage of getting to orgasm as men do in bisexual and gay sexual encounters. I wonder if heterosexual women feel left out. Maybe its just the subset of women who can orgasm but require a lot of work to get there that are the ones that have a problem reaching orgasm in heterosexual and bisexual relationships.

Now we have a conclusion I can be suspicious about. I direct you to my first comment in this thread.

          Two words: Multiple Orgasms :-D

Truth be told, in many sexual situations with men they barely last long enough for a woman to achieve ONE orgasm, much less multiple. Obviously, that changes as a man gets older, etc but I do believe it to be the case, in my experience at least, for most young men.

MANY women, on the other hand, can achieve orgasm and go right on to achieve the next one. So there is really never a stopping point for lesbian couples until the couple decides for there to be.

If we compare lesbian sex to heterosexual sex, isn't it apples and oranges - at least the way you all are comparing it? What exactly are lesbians doing longer that any man couldn't? Do the other parts of a man's body stop working once they orgasm?

Classic. I haven't heard that song in ages. What happened to it? So underrated. I wish more pop music today dealt with romance and eroticism with that kind of class. I didn't even get it all when I was a kid. That's real art.

                Great connection, Amy!

In terms of pure performance, women will in the vast majority of the cases outlast men. I guess that's why they came up with tantrism

Masters and Johnson's 1979 study on lesbian sexual practices concluded that lesbian sexual behaviors more often have qualities associated with sexual satisfaction than their heterosexual counterparts.

Marilyn Frye: "what 85 percent of long-term, married couples do more than once a month takes on average 8 minutes to do... what we (lesbians) do that, on average, we do considerably less frequently, takes, on the average, considerably more than 8 minutes to do. Maybe about 30 minutes at least."

Maybe they do for some men, enough that it leaves some women shortchanged. It's not that they couldn't, it's that they don't.
