Having "qualities associated with sexual satisfaction" does not equate to sexual satisfaction. Neither does orgasm alone - not for women, or men, for that matter. That's why I asked the questions I asked.

If women like my wife were to participate in a study like the one we're disussing and you drew conclusions that them having orgasms less than someone getting them from oral or digital stimulation meant that they were less satisfied, you'd be mistaken. In fact, it would be the opposite. Them having those kinds of orgasms would mean less satisfaction.

I think you're looking at climax itself as the end goal. That's simply not the case for everyone, especially not for all women.

Maybe women often settle for something else when their SO cannot consistently bring them to orgasm.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

To add some more wood to the fire, search for ["The Most Important Sexual Statistic"] in Psychology Today (2009).

If 75% of women don't regularly orgasm from sex, then 25% do. That's a lot of women - bigger than the gap between lesbians and heterosexual women that orgasm in your study.

And you're probably right about settling. In my relationship, I'm guessing my wife would like to have orgasms every single time. But the reasons she doesn't has nothing to do with inattentiveness on my part or dissatisfaction on hers. Like I mentioned before, inattentiveness would actually mean more orgasms for her and less pleasure. That might seem crazy for people in a relationship where sex itself is not as pleasurable and orgasmic for the woman, but that is my situation. I'm guessing I'm not the only one in the world.

I think the more important message from these studies is that female sexuality is different from ours and people need to communicate, not that men need to be concerned that they aren't taking care of their women if they don't climax all the time.

A relatively uncomplicated answer to my original posit.

That article didn't query the woman I'm seeing. She's warming up at three. The most she's had during one sex session was 12. I have no clue of how many times she has straddled my face and rubbed her clit on my tongue to orgasm.

She has told me that she didn't know oral sex could be so thoroughly and intensely orgasmic until she met me. She has told me that most men don't know how to do it. But I was well taught at a young age.

BTW, the woman I'm dating can cum from vaginal sex in reverse cowgirl and most times with her on top. But I can't help her. She'll do it on her own. She always cums from oral sex. It's her preferred way to cum followed by her vibrator.

My belief is that a lot of guys like to say they are masters of giving oral, but they don't spend enough time to really master the techniques necessary.

The girl straddling the guy's face position is a good one. She can set the rhythm and pressure to her liking. The guy just has to keep up with her motion to maintain contact.
