just saw on news a family where the son transgendered into girl and it gave courage to the mom to change to man
they believe it is first parent / child transgender family

the spouse went to a support group and they are still a family
spouse said the outside is a shell, still same person he fell in love with, said they are closer and family close (5 kids)

I admit, these things do puzzle me. I also admit that I've done very little reading on it to learn what it's all about. I worked briefly with a girl transitioning into a man, some years ago. She/he wasn't terribly vocal about it all, and I'm not sure if she ever completed the process.

It is interesting. I often wonder about how safe surgery and hormones are as opposed to psychological help. It seems a bit like giving an anorexic weight loss pills and a gastric bypass.

You should never be amazed when it comes to true love, honesty and respect. There was obviously a lot of communication between the spouses before anything took place and clearly, the "husband" was not homophobic.
