Looking for something that can be used as massage oil AND lube?

Have questions about lubes that double as massage oils?

    We’ve got more answers!

Read our article, “Oil-Based Lubes For Long-Lasting, Indulgent Sex” here:

My boyfriend and I will be celebrating our 3 year anniversary (go us!) I want to be the one to bring a little bit of romance.. Our "thing" is lighting candles, and giving full body massages.. It's something that we love to do; it gives us time to talk and get close, and also "heats up the moment "

I am looking for more of an oil this time as opposed to a lotion which is what we usually use. I want something that will really turn both of us on. But I would also like something that is safe enough for us to have sex afterwards while we're both slippery I heard baby oil is NOT the route to go? I am a tad bit sensitive when it comes to lubricants, we used the KY warming lube and it burned the S#!t out of me!!! Anything gentle, yet oil-y would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Thanks guys <3

You can make your own. Olive oil, grade seed oil, jojoba, infuse some herbs of choice - not ginger unless you like a little internal 'burn'.

Do you use condoms? If so, anything petroleum-based would be a bad idea.

There is a KY massage oil and lube. It's called "2 in 1 Warming Massage Oil" I like it a lot. You can find it at Walmart, Walgreens, Shopko by the lubes by the condoms.

I dunno if you wanna use any body oil as a lube, lube should be water based..

The KY would prolly work good though..

Yeah you cant just use any oil. The KY 2 in 1 is specifically made for both, it is okay to use with latex condoms and it water based so it wont do anything bad to your intimate areas. I actually find that lube to be fun because it is warming and gives it a whole new sensation.

Olive oils are probably not the best idea to use internally, same with sticking any infused herbs that are in the oil. On the skin as a general massage is perfectly okay.

As for irritation from lube, if you do not want that then you probably need to avoid everything that says "tingle sensation, warm sensation, vibrant sensation" etc. Each one will contain a specific chemical used to make your nerves go absolutely hay wire...which is pleasing to many woman and irritating to others. You may have to experiment with plain regular lube brands (scents can also trigger irritation) until you find one product that does not cause any problems.

I wouldn't rule out baby oil; it works for my gf and I as both a massage oil and a lubricant - very nicely...
