  • Energy Orgasms

I've been curious about energy orgasms ever since binging that new Love, Sex and Goop show on Netflix. An energy orgasm essentially is a tantric sex practice that involves breathwork and energetic touching and results in an all body orgasm. Since watching the show I've brought some fun breathwork into my sex life, and I'm interested to know if anyone's experienced an energy orgasm before.

  • I haven't (that I know of) but I'm curious about that, too. (As an aside, I saw that pop up on Netflix recently and was intrigued... I just need to get over the idea that it belongs to Goop. Ugh. LOL!!)

I did a quick google search on it and I have heard the term mind-gasm before — this sounds pretty similar? Does it take long to master the breathwork?

I might just have to give in and watch it.

    • Hmmm...haven't seen anything about this. I'll have to check it out. We are looking for new things to try.

      • Alison H. I completely felt the same way about the whole Goop connection! Definitely cringed as I hit play starting the series, but I actually learned A LOT and felt that it was really well done IMO. Breathwork was easy to practice and I noticed that it made me feel relaxed and tingly, which is always a good state of mind during sex.

        • Years ago my partner and I had an extremely intimate and erotic experience together that involved almost no physical touch, but still had all of the vulnerability intimacy offers. I orgasmed from the experience, even though there was no direct stimulation. Neither of us used special breathing techniques or anything I'd liken to a tantric experience and yet, I'd probably classify it as an energy orgasm. It was amazing, and I felt closer to my partner after that moment than after any other sexual encounter before.
