I had sex outside one time when I was a teenager. We were at a local freshwater beachy area - in a semi-private area - with nothing between us and the ground. A few weeks later, I was diagnosed with a pilonidal cyst in my tailbone - the doctor said it could have happened if sand got into my bathing suit, that it happened all the time in our area because of that. The only time I'd been in a bathing suit in the preceding few months was during that one outing. The cyst was so painful and required surgery to remove - I've never had sex outside again. Lesson learned, lol.

I've always found the thought of beach sex very stimulating. After reading your post though, I think a blanket HAS to be a prerequisite. Sorry that your experience was negative.

When I started thinking about this, I was surprised at how many outdoor places I have fooled around. A snowy graveyard, the woods (where I got the worst mosquito bite ever), in Big Bear lake, and the side of the road in Laurel Canyon. For a person who doesn't like the idea of getting caught, that's a lot.

Remembered some other good ones....

Attended a wedding with my GF at the time at a hotel resort. Later that night during the reception, we snuck away and got it after it on a bench somewhere in the resort.

Over the years, my wife and i have had sex in some pretty raunchy places. Most you can already imagine... woods, backyard, balcony, and so on. The usually. But there are two times that standout the most:

1 - We were in an empty field at night. Not too far off the road, but not so close where any one on the road going by could see us. But it was late, and we were the only ones out there. The funny part was the cops came by shortly after we were finished. They saw our car parked on the side of the road and decided to check it out to see if we were okay. Again, it was late and we were the only ones out there. We told them we were good and just checking out the scenery. They said alright, wished us a pleasant evening, and went on their way. But I'm sure they could tell what we were up to. If they had shown up just 5 minutes earlier, my oh my, this story might have had a different ending.

2 - We once had sex in the crowd of a Metallica concert. The place was packed and everyone was jumping around and screaming to the music. My wife was wearing a sexy shirt and i was standing behind her. I'm sure you can do the math from there. The crazy part was that no one around us seemed to be the wiser. Or at least, no one gave any indication they knew or saw what we were up to. We were even able to squeeze in a round 2 towards the later part of the show. ;-)
