      Good thoughts, but I don't think this would help persuade her. She is not on the pill for pregnancy prevention. She is on it for period-related reasons. Maybe there is an alternative birth control that would have less effect on libido and also offer period-ease...?

        There may be, if indeed it’s hormonal birth control that’s causing a decreased libido. Do you know if she’s discussed this with her doctor? Does she see the issue as a libido problem that she wants to address? Of course, if alcohol makes her more sexually open, hormones may not even be a factor.
