I didn't say anything about putting a condom on before a BJ. I was just agreeing with some of the posters that being a little more cautious is a good thing if you are inexperienced.

And IF you read my post closely you will see that I said the odds are minimal.

I'm sure coolnurse is just as much an expert as either you or I.
There is a method to my madness ........ I just haven't found it yet.

      Seriously?
Does your doctor boyfriend ever talk facts with you? Do you listen...ever?
Condom before BJ...lets see, prevention of STD comes to mind. A condoms function is not limited to birth control.
Practical is giving young people ALL the facts and possibilities and hoping they make good choices.
As far as pre-cum...its fact that it has hundreds of spermatazoa in it and CAN and WILL impregnate. Where is the heavy debate in that?
I believe a condom should be donned before there is any kind of contact that may result in mucous membrane transfer of fluids regardless of what membrane or what fluid.

        Curioso
Ok ,so obviously it's before penetration. But during foreplay, when should it happen?

Coolnurse is just as much of an expert as you are, or i am or each and every one of the replies made here on this thread. Why? Because it is a slim chance that you can get pregnant without penetration, exchanging of fluids but that is the thing, that very slim chance can occur.

It can occur, (slim chance) but can, if the sperm quickly finds itself anywhere near the virgina and that can occur from pre-ejaculation, it can occur from sperm being on fingers and those fingers entering the virgina, it can occur a hundred ways.

Whether it is a slim chance or not;_

It is Unusual - but possible -

The purpose of this forum is to provide opinions to questions, not answers...

If there is a "slim chance" then the threader should be hearing that, so that she knows as Fallen 1 has pointed out some possible scenarios to the threaders actual above question which pertained to Foreplay.

In addition, as Uneeklyme has pointed out, whilst the threader did not pose the question regarding STD's, the fact that she is asking about sexual interactions, then this "opinion" is also valid.

And each and ever Member's responses are their "opinions" which is what this Forum is about, not offering Medical advice but opinions to consider.

        Simple

Your Opinion? Put the condom on before intercourse.

Great, you've provided yours as well........

i guess coolnurse can give medical advice on this site but i can't, even though i work in the health field and most of you if not all don't hold a medical degree......i don't believe giving real advice on this site is bad or wrong.....especially when other people do it, by giving names of websites or other ways. if i am not aloud to do something, please let it be for everyone.

Unfortunately, we are not experts, we may have qualifications, may be a Nurse but we are not his/her Doctor advising, purely providing our opinions, with or without medical knowledge, or background knowledge of simular circumstances we may have been through or know someone whom has been through something simular.

Imagine, if you provide your "expert advice" and it's taken and something goes horribly wrong. Hense why the Site Rules state, we do not provide Medical advice.

Uneeklyme is in fact very qualified but she states her "opinion" but sometimes will also state what she does for a living.

It's more in the way you provide your expertise, as aposed to ending them with "Get Real" "Let's just get practical when giving advice on this board" "please give advice that is real and not polically correct"..

When other people are doing exactly what the Forum is about, providing an "OPINION"...

              Uneeklyme

Practical is giving young people ALL the facts and possibilities and hoping they make good choices.
The above is an example of providing expertise in a field, providing "all" possibilites" whilst also providing it as an opinion.

What the members on the Forum have written, Fallen 1, myself, Fire(m) Uneeklyme, damd, & others, all of them have chosen to note, STD, the "off minor chance" of pre-cum causing pregnancy... as well as comfort, such as Anon, well don't put a Condom on until after the BJ, that's not fair to the guy...

All valid points of someone starting out new in the sexual field.
