Honestly, now I think I'll most definately consider a dildo.I get lots of pleasure just with in and out motion.Although I could get a vibe and just occasionally use the vibration, but I have a feeling that I would enjoy the new sensation too much. It's a slippery slope. I would have no concerns regarding vibrating sex toys if they didn't reduce the responsiveness of my touch to my partner. From what I've heard from a lot of women, and especially here, men seem to already have a tough time stimulating their women to orgasm, so you have to ask yourself why would you knowingly make it any more difficult?
I do understand that the vibrations feel good, and that vibrators are very convenient and easy to use for the most part.
You just have to weigh the pros and cons and make the decision yourself. Please don't go ask a person who works in a sex toy shop for advice in this matter, or any one for that matter, with a vested financial interest in selling sex toys.
Lastly-
Just so you know...in the instances I've been privileged to be a part of...whenever the woman discontinued her vibrator use for an extended period of time, her former level of sensitivity was regained.
However - there are women on this board, and other forums for that matter, who have claimed that vibrators have taken away their sensitivity indefinitely.
Good luck.

Plus,it's not like god made man with a vibrating penis.
When I go shopping,I'll look at some different toys, and if I don't get a vibrator, maybe I will in the future. But I just don't want my first time to be unpleasurable because I got too used to a vibrating sex toy.
And I don't plan to ask the people who work in the stores. If I didn't know what I know now, they would be able to convince me that the vibration would make me orgasm more easily during sex,Lol.So I'm glad I got the advice here. But knowing the consequences of too much vibrating stimulation,I will really think about it.
Thank you OTYA.

If you are able to orgasm without a vibrator I think its probably a good idea to stay in practice of doing so without one.
For me having vibrating stimulation is a bit too much, and I prefer penetration minus the vibration. The times me and my guy break out a little tiny vibe to use up top while he's in me... are special events, a different sensation. If we did it that way everytime It probably would make me dependent on it... I am sure. But throwing it in once in a while to make things different doesn't seem to have that effect on me.
So I am sure the same would work for masturbation.... as long as a person uses a vibrator as a treat now and then and still stays in practice of having an orgasm without one I'm sure they wont develop a dependency.Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.Comment

my opinion...
I think OTYA has some strong points. An analogy that isn't brought up enough is men who masturbate with an iron grip (white knuckling it) typically have more difficulties reaching climax with a partner. A vagina or anus can not provide such firmness as a clenched fist. Likewise a penis can not reproduce the vibrations one gets from a vibrator. It is very similar to women that get use to the extra stimulation of a vibrator.
I do think that sensitivity does come back fairly quickly though. It takes a bit of restraint to hold back though.
Everyone is different... My two cents then are to knock yourself out if you aren't in a relationship. When the time comes (a new found relationship) it might be time to ease back a bit so sex with a partner can be fully gratifying. Men should use a lighter touch and woman perhaps should not use the vibrations.

perfect!
I think it is important to be able to orgasm quickly without any extra aids. Spontaneous quickies are great! Small doses of extra stimulation is great too. Having a broad range of sexual stimulation is a wonderful thing. Not getting into a rut is very important to maintaining a great sex life.
