No offense but why all the toys, wands, etc. etc.

I'm just curious on opinions. Now don't get me wrong toys have there place and I'm well experienced with most on me and a partner. But what happened to our natural creativeness, communication, the ability to sexually arouse a partner without man made mechanics? When things become dull or same oh same oh, is it just easier to whip out a toy, than to use the mind God gave us and come up with some creativity. Stimulating the mind I think is much more effective and lasts longer......thoughts?? Verbal skills I think have really gone down hill from a young age right up to adults.

Nothing works on my clit but a vibrator. Nothing. I've been masturbating since I was 8 years old and hadn't a clue what it was. Nothing works but a vibrator. Things may feel somewhat good but they will not get me to orgasm. Aside from occasionally during sex I also will not orgasm from penetration without a vibrator usually on my clit. When we first met and were going at it like rabbits we actually tore my urethra fingering and doing oral so much that I had to go to a doctor and still did not achieve orgasm once. My husband's never had a woman he couldn't bring to orgasm with fingers and especially oral. Toys are the only thing that work for me and I've been highly creative over the years in what to use until I turned 18 and could buy them without my mom knowing.

Thinking your way to the big O. While I agree that fantacy can raise your level of excitement, it's just a plain physical fact that actual clitoral stimulation is the best way to achieve orgasm. To that end, I love my man but also my Hitachi wand especially when he is not available.

I don't get toys either. I think it's more a woman thing. Maybe it's similar to how some men have difficulty performing or climaxing with a partner, but are able to with pornography.

I agree. A negative stigma - though it is fading slowly - still surrounds male sex toys. We nothing of a woman with a vibrator (or dildo or whatever) since she's open minded with a liberal and open minded view to getting herself off, but if a man has a rubber vagina then he's a creepy loser who can't get laid.

bb, do you think that men would use toys as much as women if there was no stigma? I don't. I may be just imposing my own preference onto other people though. From what I know of male sex toys they seem to be designed to mimic a woman. While toys designed for women can be simple replicas of a penis, they seem to often have features that penises don't have, like vibration or special shapes. I think there's a difference.

              Good question/s Stillness...

I think what I really meant to say was that the lack of male sex toys is likely due to the stigma, and the lack of demand, since most men don't need assistance in masturbating. Re the stigma, I just think that a man is more likely to be frowned upon, or looked at as a pervert for having a vagina type masturbation aid, than a woman is for having a vibrator. Vibrators equate to a woman having a healthy libido and being sexually open minded, plastic vaginas are associated with old men who wear raincoats, though maybe others see it differently, perhaps society has become more open minded? Perhaps it's just that vagina shape toys are considered unnecessary for men, since we seem to manage so well without them? Or that most vagina typed male sex toys are associated with those creepy blow-up dolls the stereotypical rain-coat-wearing-creepy-old-man would always have tucked away? My perception is that most women don't consider it 'normal' for men to use masturbation aids other than porn, and a lot of girls here have expressed concern over their boyfriend watching that; but as I said, that's just how I perceive things.

Overall I prefer to use toys with or on a woman, and generally I do think that toys have a greater benefit for women than men. I am interested to hear what people think re my hypothesis though.

Agreed. I think that any male autoeroticism is more frowned upon.

Interesting thoughts.....However, most of you seem to forget there are men who enjoy anal that are not bi, gay, or whatever else some can come up with........so it's not just a woman look-a-like thing. Trying not to be too descriptive here lol. In my original post, and I do understand that for some women stimulation by artificial means may be a must, what I was talking about was: Very rarely do you hear of anymore is the romantics, candle light, mood setting atmosphere, the gentleman, male charm, two people mentally, physically, and spiritually into each other. Now if any woman has not tried a vibrator I would encourage you to do so. Toys are a great addition to the bedroom. What I mean is, it seems to me that many, not all, almost become dependent on them, forget how to communicate verbally with a partner. Many couples now a days that I have had the experience talking to, working with, helping them through struggle have forgotten what flirting, using your own personal charm, attractiveness, to arouse your partner. Someone above used fantasy as an example to my saying using the mind. True to a sense, however what I meant was focusing on the experience you are having with your partner at the time, watching every reaction, stimulating yourself by seeing your partner so aroused, pleased, being together on an intimate level. Often one or the other (and many can relate to this) drift off thinking of other things like, am I too loud kids can hear, does he/she think I'm good enough, why this , why that, failure to stay in the mood not only physically but mentally as well, is one of the leading causes of bedroom trouble.

Toys help me reach orgasm faster, and reaching orgasm makes penetration easy. It's just how my body is. Not orgasming can make penetration painful and difficult.
