Ashlee Tilford

My first memories of writing begin at 7 years old. Introverted and shy to the max, I struggled to express my feelings while in the presence of others. Writing became a way that I could release those emotions into something artistic, purposeful and powerful.

A secret: When I leave this Earth, my loved ones will find a hidden arsenal of my deepest emotions, mostly in the form of poetry.

Throughout the years, I have learned that the purpose of my “gift of written gab” is to help others on their own journey. Words are mighty and the right (or wrong) ones have the power to transform us.

As a writer here at Women’s Health Interactive, my purpose is no less – to encourage, to inform, to transform, and to empower.
