WC, I'm actually finding that meditation book you recommended interesting. I was afraid that meditation would be way too hard. Not that I have come even close to mastering it, at least when reading the book, it doesn't make it seem so impossible to do. Also they do understand that you mind can wander. It makes me feel a little less strange that mine does so often. Ok, they don't mention that people's mind wanders during sex like mine but it is about focusing your mind on something, which will definitely help me in the bedroom.
They mentioning getting "high" during meditation. I can't even begin to imagine that but it has relaxed me a little already when I tried it. The way I have been going lately, I'll take any relaxing I can get!!!Comment

I know what you mean, some people make it sound like something you have to spend years to do. There are different types and degrees. Meditation is an on going process and there are differing veiws on it. I read one thing that speculated that the whole thing of clearing your mind was easier for men because they do it all the time - sit down, turn on TV, zone out, blank mind.
I do better meditating on something. I'll clear my mind for just a bit and then focus on something, a flower, a flame, a bit of woodgrain with a nice pattern. I think that is easier for me because in school I was often bored and would do it in the classroom to escape. A fire could have broken out and I'd hardly have known. I did a yoga relaxation for years too, where you visualise each part of your body and essentially erase it until all that is left is the mind and then I'd visualise the blue of the sky, maybe bring in a few clouds and just stay there for a while. That's very refreshing, although you can feel a little disoriented when you bring yourself back.
The more you do it, even for short times, the easier it will get.
With sex, The Orgasm Loop teaches the use of energy focus, a technique used in martial arts, yoga, tantra and meditation. That's what the arousal image is. So this all ties together and can be applied to many areas of your life. Just keep working with it. Some days or times it can seem just impossible to focus, that's ok. Give it some time anyway and don't worry about it. You'll get there. You are a woman who is on the path. You have the right attitude of discovery!Comment
