I've always thought it was the competitive nature in [most] women when it comes to this. One of the times is when a girl doesn't see a certain guy as relationship material, but when he has a girlfriend.... all of a sudden he does, and you think "Hmmm". The other times are when it's a FRIEND of yours, and you go after the guy to prove a point, or to just have the upper hand, to feel like you won something, whatever.... Exactly like the Chris Rock quote from Tex

I, personally, have never gone after a taken guy. A lot of you guys know that I've recently been in a situation where I'm the girlfriend OF the taken guy, and it's really troublesome. No matter how much I may not like a girl, I wouldn't do that to anyone.

I can't say I've noticed any more or less attention whilst in a relationship, though tbh, I've never tried to measure it :P

One thing I have noticed though, is when you get out of a relationship, there is an onslaught of interest. I'd imagine girls get these even more than guys do. Can be nice if you get out of a relationship and you want options and to move on, but if it's a painful break-up, it can be really annoying.

LOL I think I might pretend to be taken if that is all it takes to get someone attracted to you.

I havent read all the posts, but I just think women like competition. I do anyways, and if they had a crush on a guy and he is with someone else, that means they lost the "game" if that makes sense.

I for one will never go for a married man, or engaged, or anyone in a relationship, too much bad karma
