dewd........ I want you to do something for me. Go get your measuring tape, yard stick, ruler, whatever you've got. And look at 1 foot. See how small that is? Hold your hands out to mirror that size. See how small and insignificant that is in relation to an entire body size? You're not even talking about a foot here, you're talking about 9 inches.

I'm trying to remember, but I believe you are 5'8" and she is around 5'2". Do you feel like a monster next to her? Do you look at her and feel like she's dwarfed next to you? You are 5-6" taller than her. And you are saying that's insignificant. But her ex is only 3-4" taller than you and you are saying that's significant. You must see how this makes ZERO logical sense.

I've seen countless couples, where the man is shorter than the woman. Does he enjoy being dwarfed by her? I'd imagine not, right? I'd expect he loves her enough to be in a long term relationship with her, her height is not a factor. Or what about the couple where the woman weighs 350 lbs and the man weighs 150 soaking wet? Or vice versa. People fall in love for all sorts of reasons......but rarely because of someones height or weight. So why are you so fixated on your girlfriends height? Would you feel better if she were 5'7"?

I think you're a nice guy. I do. But if you're not willing to get yourself help to get past these issues, then you are a man making no effort to be any different. You are always welcome here, but if you are always going to ask us the same questions, we are going to continuously give you the same answers......because we're telling you the truth. It's not going to change. Not today, not 6 months from now.

I'm 6'8"/250 lbs, and I've dwarfed every single girlfriend. Aside from my size, part of it is that I've never dated anyone taller than 5'6". It's not by design, however; I actually don't know many women taller than that, and I've just never fallen for one of those few. But is it weird? No, I don't think so. Or should I stop dating until I find a woman that's 6'3" minimum?

The reason you find it weird is not because of the height difference between her and her previous boyfriends but between you and her previous boyfriends, and then you attach a false significance to that difference. If they were bigger than you in terms of height, then maybe they were bigger than you elsewhere with their anatomy... If they were bigger than you, then maybe they were better than you in regard to "certain activities"... Things like that.

Wow, even a guy at 5' 10" having self esteem issues. I'm 5'6" on a good day and my wife if 5'5". I always felt inadequate but, 5' 10" is the perfect height to be. Not too tall or short. Quit worrying about looks and physical issues as what she really wants is for you to make more money (kidding).

Half my boyfriends were a foot taller than me. I think my husband is 11" taller. So long as the guy is at least a couple inches taller than me I don't really notice what his exact height is or care. That covers pretty much every guy since I'm only 5'2" and actually I am usually right around the middle height of all the women every where I go so 5'5" seems above average for this area. My sister is 5'9" and does complain about having problems finding guys tall enough she can wear high heels with but she wouldn't decide not to date someone just over height. She even had a boyfriend an inch or 2 shorter than her for over a year.

Tom Cruise is 5' 7" and doesn't have problems attracting women.

Good self image is infinitely more important than height, or any other physical attribute.

Is sex different with a tall man, awkward, better etc?

A little more complicated if the height difference is significant enough.

My last husband was a foot taller than me. One of the biggest issues is that, unless you have and extra long king sized bed (special order item usually) they sleep diagonally across the bed, leaving you with a corner. I guess if the woman is really short that might work but if she is average height it's difficult.

I just have to make sure I'm far enough down the bed that my husband's head doesn't hit the wall or headboard behind me. :P

I have a custom ordered foam bed anyway. It is tons cheaper to get custom cut foam direct from the manufacturers than finished mattresses and there is no real difference except that if you order different layers with different firmness you have to glue them yourself or put it in a fitted sheet to prevent sliding. Then I made a platform frame for it out of 2x6s and plywood that was laying around. My custom designed bed cost me a couple $100 instead of a couple $1000.
