    we cannot help you.
How can you speak for all of us with that comment? Just offering comfort to someone whom needs it is helping................................

OCD is real. Across the board, common, very common and the person/s that have this decease can not help themselves but that does not mean that they cannot come to a Forum and repeat themselves as is the behaviour of OCD....

Obsession Compulsive Disorder produces uneasiness, apprehension, fear, or worry, by repetitive behaviors aimed at reducing the associated anxiety, or by a combination of such obsessions and compusions.

    It includes:-

    repeated checking
    pre-occupation with sexual thoughts

They feel that they must act as though their notions are correct knowing it's not logical.... as the OP has stated above......

It makes illogical things feel very logical once my mind gets locked into a thought.
OCD sufferers generally recognize their obsessions and compulsions as irrational, and may become further distressed by this realization.

We are not here to "stress the OP"
I was hoping to hear just the right thing in here so I could take a deep breath and stop giving a ..

It's hard to "hear" with this condition, it's like you need to hear it over and over and over and over and I guess that is what people are trying to do here, you are frustrated they are frustrated in their 2nd, third reply however, they should read what I wrote above with regards to OCD and "realise" that you have a severe problem and the last thing you need is people to get frustrated, thereby stressing you out and making this worse for you....

Do you know that OCD is also partly hereditary? Does anyone in your family have this as well?

There are several methods to help get this under control not just a counsellor, have you ever been put on medication? Talks to a physcologist? A counsellor is great in as much as trying to change your patterns a physcologist may help you understand why you have those thought patterns...

It is complicated but it is from what I can tell to date, due to your OCD to which I mentioned earlier in a post.

What other things are you OCD about?

Ignore people that are rude, in their comments sometimes they need to actually get to the cause of the reason as to why people have a problem instead of getting frustrated themselves and realise in addition this is a Forum of non-judgement as well as one everyone, can come to regardless of their problem....and not post if they can't offer something helpful.

        You are welcome

Can we change the direction of the thread just for a little while and help maybe a little by talking about the OCD more? It may help you more so than getting the same answers pertaining to your question that you are not ready to "see" yet..

Like what other things are you OCD about, does it affect your work? Or only relationships, living arrangements? Does anyone else in your family have this? There is a cross board thing there not just to do with your relationship with this lady who chose you

How does that make you feel? It must be horrible to go through the constant questioning, validating yet not validating, checking on everthing.... What do you do for a living can I ask? And, does it run in the family?

How long have you been to councelling...Hey newdewd you've been here a while and we are glad you keep coming back, it's okay to talk though, we don't know your real name or anything....

I'm not trying to be a councellor here but I'm trying to see I guess where, we can help a little..

What's logical to you is anything but logical to me. I give up. I wanted this to stop bothering and I thought reaching out to other women might help. It has a little, but the thoughts persist. I am in counseling and am working hard to work on my insecurities. I do appreciate, from the bottom of my heart, how everyone has tried to help. OCD makes you think crazy things. It sucks. BUt I have to live with it I guess.

I think if you sense some frustration from some of us, it's because we WANT to help you. We want to say something that is going to be the one thing you need to stop this for you. I can only imagine, that as you say, there is a nightmare going on in your head because of these thoughts.

If you don't feel like you're making any progress with your counselor, please be sure to voice that concern to him/her. You may need someone that specializes more in OCD's. It's possible this isn't the right therapist for you. I think that part of healing for you could be coming clean to your girlfriend about what you're truly feeling. She needs to understand the extent of which this plagues your mind so that she can understand that it's not about anything she has done. And it may be therapeutic for you to sit down with her and have a true heart to heart about your OCD's, this being one of them. If she is going to be in your life in any form, the OCD's are things that directly affect her.

Dude, if you have OCD, you got much bigger issues to deal with. Once the OCD takes hold, your girlfriend won't give a about your height. The OCD will be the elephant in the room. I would suggest therapy.

hmm i have the opposite problem

i think... im about 6ft something and im a girl (most likely genetics again cause my hair is white (properly white and no im not an albino or whatever i have nice brown eyes ^_^) and i been told thats because of various genes and hight is something affected by genetics AND nature/nurture) so most guys i dated were shorter then me so i didnt let that mess up relationships (and my girl friend is also shorter but she is actualy quite tall for a girl anyway but i couldnt tell you her hight i dont even know it myself)
