    Epic rejection...

Since there are lots and lots of women here who are kindly prepared to share their worldly experiences here I thought I'd start a thread where the girls could share the multitude of methods they have used to reject the unwanted advances of men. I think this has the potential to raise some laughs...

    I'l start.

Me: "would you like to go out with me next week?"

Hot chick: "No, I don't go out"

I probably said something sarcastic in response to this about needing more fresh air or something but I can assure it didn't sway her, she must have suffered from agoraphobia or something (not sure what she was doing in a coffee shop though).

My friend said a girl cancelled a date with him because (and this is verbatim) "I can't find my shoes".

I once approached a girl in a nightclub, and as soon as I opened my mouth she held up the palm of her hand and firmly said: "no".

Can any of the ladies surpass these or was it just me who faced epic rejection weekly when I was single?

I have honestly used the "speak no English" line before!

The most cruel thing you do is pretend to be interested when you're not. I had a man do this to me when I was in my 20's. A so-called girlfriend said that the man liked me, and I approached him only realized that I was having a joke played on me.

If I'm not interested, I tell people "Thank you, but I'm really busy" or "I'm not dating right now." Often, these excuses are true. A date once accused me of finding someone else when I told him I'm having family issues. I really was having family issues, and I don't want to date when there's drama going on.

May be a bit beyond the scope...but my sister was breaking up with her live-in boyfriend who proved to be a mooching leech...she (I heard from a girlfriend who was there) walked into the living room. Tossed a stack of "porno mags." on the coffee table with a vibratiing dildo and said "GET OUT! You've been replaced!"

I'm sorry to hear this; but believe me, women do this too.

"Maybe", "I will think about it", is far worse then any rejection because they won't even say no to your face.
