Maybe if I got any sense that it mattered much I'd be more concerned. I did go through a phase when I was a boy. Declaring that you had a big penis and had sex was macho and saying someone had a little one and was a virgin was a put-down. But once I started moving into manhood and dealing with women and figuring out what they wanted and what I wanted myself, I let it go.

Most of us worry about it to some extent, just like anybody worries about aspects of their body. It's human, not gender. I would even say that it's healthy to some extent to want to look your best. Most men, like most women just do what they can with what they have move past any self-consciousness. Only the minority obsess about it.

Charisma.. I think is the word Corey... Which definitely can create chemistry..
Age is also a factor. Sure, young you see looks but for me, they also had to have charisma...
Now, older, it's charisma, then personality, reality, morals, then all of a sudden I check out their body. But, strangely I have never wondered what size there were at that time, it was the chemistry that then took over...PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment

Why would Stillness be pretending? Why would you judge that comment? With age and I do know that Stillness is a young spunk of a man in his perfect prime, things do not matter as much at all. More important things pertaining to a relationship matter... we as mature adults look for much more.PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment

I'm surprised no one is discussing this. 1 inch less is 4.5 inches. It's basically on the borderline of small and average, although frankly a bit small. It's barely big enough and likely to fall out a fair bit. Size directly affects sex. I've even read online how women will look elsewhere when their man is too small.Comment

I have to agree with Stillness on this, although I figured it out a bit later in life than I think he did. At some point most guys say I am who I am and let go of the insecurity. Most of us worry about it to some extent, just like anybody worries about aspects of their body. It's human, not gender. Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

I don't know. It was a process. I actually took a few steps back after marriage in my early-mid twenties and tried a penis extension technique. It lasted all of a few days because my wife simply does not care (not enough, if at all). Plus, I got bored and felt stupid. I was stupid. Later on and on multiple occasions she has defended me from my own stupidity by genuinely letting me know how much she appreciates what I do and what I am sexually.
So I'd like to take all the credit, but a lot of it is the power of a good woman. That may be the thing that some of these fellas need."Those sowing seed with tears

Is it likely that your wife never had much larger than you? If the biggest she's had was let's say, 2" bigger than you are, that's not likely to even register much in her mind. But if she's had significantly larger she probably does remember that experience. I still don't doubt she doesn't care about your size though. Women are weird creatures. So I'd like to take all the credit, but a lot of it is the power of a good woman. That may be the thing that some of these fellas need.Pigeonholer extraordinaire!Comment

BillH, I won't lie to you and say it doesn't matter because it does a little. I'm not much bigger than you, around 5" (or 5.5" if I press the ruler into the fat pad). I have pretty low bodyfat, so if your bodyfat is high, some of your penis will be hiding inside the fat. So losing weight can make a huge difference. It also helps to make what you have look bigger since your general hip area will be smaller due to the fat loss.I'm surprised no one is discussing this. 1 inch less is 4.5 inches. You might also consider penile extension, which is basically doing exercises to increase penis length. There's 2 basic ones, stretching and jelqing.
I personally would stay away from jelqing, it's far too dangerous. However, stretching done right can help in the long run (might take a year or two to gain).
If you go that route, search for the safest techniques to do so. You have to be very careful with it.Pigeonholer extraordinaire!Comment
