I know it's not to the same level, but it's still not allowing someone to be comfortable in their own home, fearing that every word out of the partners mouth is going to be complaining/insults. I think it is a level of abuse. I'm sure you've seen how crushed hen-pecked men are. It's relatively the same without the bruises.

I don't believe it's the same at all. Yes, women who nag to that extent are annoying, end of story, no one questions it. But *MOST* woman nag because there are things to be done and their spouse isn't doing it. The statistics are there, you can look it up if you don't believe it. In married couples, household chores are divided 70/30. Can you guess who gets the 70? There's one reason women nag. What's one good reason people slap their spouses?

Nagging? And before you bite my head off, I'm joking.

Men and women have different priorites, women like to nest, a part of which being tidying up, and men like to get on with stuff.

For example, a man goes to bed after his woman, and throws his socks at the washing basket. With it being dark, they land on the floor. The first thing he hears in the morning is "why the hell are your socks on the floor, you know I hate it when you cant put them away properley, blah blah blah!". You've heard of the term "getting up on the wrong side of the bed"? Now this man is annoyed all day because his woman just couldn't keep her mouth shut. The more and more it invades, the less he will be able to convince himself he likes her, and she becomes a detested mother figure, and he dreads every word out of her mouth.

Actually, i think there is nothing worse than being a nag, goodness, i saw it, still do from my Mother ahhhh.

However, in my last marriage it was more like 95/5%, whilst the couch potato of good build, watched his fantastic car racing videos, and his little wife walked in the door at 8pm from working all day, to cook, feed the animals, water the garden all at the same time. Now, nagging and me became friends in the end, but it didn't solve the problem, now i've gone back to the one who does not agree with the word, and do the chores when ever i want to, well some you have to do daily, what can i say....

But, the words that can fly out of a persons mouth, under such duration and pressure can be quite cutting, abbusive, stemming from the initial " why don't you cook dinner or have it ready for me once in a while, you can see i'm working late?", to your a *******, xwtvirtw*4#

So i can relate to the two here, except CR, i'd be slapping him... There's one good reason, ahhh..

Thank god i'm no longer in that relationship, i was exhausted just then remembering that 95% daily ...

Alright, well it's not about nesting. Some things just need to be done. The laundry, the floors, the dishes. If you wanna live in a hole, by all means, do it. But most people don't want that, and to not have that, both parties have to clean, no matter what. And for the record, I HATE cleaning, and i'm sure so do most women, so I don't chalk that number up to "oh, women clean because they like to, they're nesting!" No. We clean because we're not pigs.

And if he knows she hates it when he leaves his **** on the floor and he hates her nagging, he can take the time to make it into the basket and then SHE WON'T NAG! Good god. See, that's my point. Women nag about the ****** little stuff, because the ****** little stuff is annoying. And VERY FREAKING PREVENTABLE! That's the worst part! That half the stuff women nag about is their spouses being lazy and messy. Who's fault is that?!

I think both parties are equally at fault for the whole nagging situation. We nag because you annoy us by being slobs, unthoughtful, etc. You are a slob and unthoughtful because you think we nag too much. It's a vicious, vicious cycle Anon! :P

                Yeah, the filter is stup1d....

I know where you're coming from, I just think that nagging should be saved for the things that are important, not the silly stuff that really doesn't matter. Because then it turns in to nagging over every little thing. Maybe men should just nag back... Actually, I want that glass there, can you please leave my shoes there, that's where I want them to be, why haven't I got a blowjob this week, you lazy girl, the dinner you cooked wasn't very nice, not as good as the dinners I cook anyway, grow up and stop watching celebrity television, don't you know it rots your brain? God, you spend so much time at the mall shopping with your friends when you should be looking after me blah blah blah.

Haha sounds like you've got some pent up nagging there, Anon.
It only gets to the point where women nag when men do the thing repeatedly after being asked to/not to to do it. I mean, women don't start out nagging. It starts as "Honey, I know you're tired, I am too, please pick up your dishes", then to "Babe, I thought I told you, I cooked, you put your dishes away," then "Seriously, put your freakin dishes away," to "OH MY GOD, why can't you do anything I ask, are you that inconsiderate, holy lord, I've told you 3,000 times!" It's a progression, and completely avoidable. Yes, it's about the little things, but good god do those start to add up.

Well, just make that decision: everything being the way I want it is more important to me than my man; because when you start nagging, he'll never feel the same way about you again.

Well, he has the same decision to make. She'll never see him the same when he stops about caring what she wants anymore, either. This is going to keep going, no more derailing. Haha.
