[QUOTE=Livelaughlove;59686]Correct me if im wrong but I believe that since you posted youve been trying to find a way to break up with your boyfriend right?

Whatever you do DO NOT SAY "Lets just be friends." Because you both wont remain friends and he will hate you. Men hate that because what it tells us is that "I no longer love you, so im demoting you to a emotional doormat, with no sexual benifit."

Just tell him that you want a break from the relationship. That school and stress is getting to you and you want some time to yourslef.

    The most important thing!

Stroke his ego! Tell him a laundry list of things that is great about him. What women would love about him. So he doesn't get too attached. It will help him cope.

Thats the best way to break up with your man.

If he starts crying just tell him you can't deel with it right now. More complimenting then just leave.

So here's my question to you LLL. What do you do if live with him and everything you have is part his??

Just because you put it in caps does not make it true. Human beings are not so simple, and that's the only simple thing.

So then are you telling me that your staying with him because there is a sense of security that you have...

What specifically are you worried about loosing? Name what comes to your mind first.

        Be honest!

I'm not worried about security. I want to leave but it's not so simple as just saying goodbye. Not when both your cars and your bills are jointly paid.

By the way, I dont care about the stuff. Those are just things and not important. What I really mean by that is how do you hurt someone that badly by leaving and then have to figure out who pays what?

Oh hun, the longer you wait the more it will hurt both of you.

a few years ago my oldest was dating a girl one year older than he was. they started talking about what was gonna happen when she went to college the next year and she said something like "well, I'll be dating other people since you'll be here." He told her "then I guess we should break up now, because it'll only hurt more the longer we wait." pretty mature for a 17 year old.

            pretty good advice too...

Well it is tough, my ex and i still own a property jointly and i pay it.....

The risk you take is that you have to pay it all because he refuses to and then when you speak to the creditors they don't care, they just want it paid full stop...

Can you obtain a loan to pay out both of those debts? And therfore, own what ever it is yourself? Ie) Car... put that loan in your name only in-otherwords.

It's "nice" to be "nice" but you have to think of yourself in this life unfortunately we are always going to hurt someone...

My first serious girlfriend we bought everything together half mine half yours... We split everything...

Well when we broke up I was still rather young so it was pretty ugly and we fought over who has what and why... It took allot of bargaining to finally have it resolved and it was dragged on for weeks.

Since then I've learned a valuable lesson. Dont depend on anyone but yourself on materialistic possessions. If you cant afford it then, wait until you can.

Since then I've never had a problem... So i wish i can give you the advice however since I haven't succeeded in making it work for me I'm not willing to give advice on it. Sorry.

Let it be a lesson to you. Like it was me.

You know him better then I do. Remain civil and polite while still following what i said before should help him and you breeze through it. Just be understanding as you were once in his position.

                    Wish you the best.

I've thought about it but my credit is thrashed now because of all these "things" that he MUST have that I've put my name on to make him happy. I will try though... maybe I can plead my case well enough. Thanks CW!

And thanks to you too LLL. No advice but sympathy is better sometimes! Thanks.
