Glitz: Oh definitely... It's always easier said than done but I know that I could do it. All of my friends are guys, always have been. It just so happens that my best friend is a guy/ex. I actually talked to my mom about this the other day and I hate to admit that she was right. She told me that I can't have it both ways. It's true... I really can't but I don't like being forced into choosing. That's so unfair.

Yes, it's completely up to Jared to let me in if and when he wants to. I can't push it with him because he'll only close off more. That's why I'm trying to be so patient but 7 months? Geeze!

I have wondered what else he hasn't told me. I just don't think about it now though. Occasionally, it crosses my mind but I think that if it were THAT BIG then he'd have told me. Maybe I need to wait another month. Maybe it's an every 4 months deal, lol. 8 month mark is coming up.

This isn't the first time he pulled the disappearing act. 4th of July weekend he disappeared for the entire weekend when we had plans. He didn't answer his phone, he didn't text me back, nothing. He finally got a hold of me on the Sunday and said he was sorry for worrying me but that he needed to get away. He says that he went up into the woods to a little camping/firing place. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. I really don't know. I have to trust him, you know? So I believe him. Anyways, I told him to please never do that again and that I was really worried. I thought that something had happened to him not to mention the fact that I knew about his previous suicide attempts at a young age. I don't know that he would try again but it is a concern. He said he'd never do it again but BAM! What do you know? He does it a lot.

Cra* left part of it out. Anyways, when he disappeared I asked that all he do is text me and let me know next time that he will be away for a few days or whatnot. However long it is. I said, that's all I need. I just want to be aware that you're not around and that you're going to be okay. He promised but he promises a lot and doesn't follow through, really... His word is no good to me.

Sounds complicated. I hope you can get it sorted out. From the posts I've seen, seems like you've been through a lot of and deserve some peaceful and stress free happiness.

Absolutely Linds It's funny we live in hope... and kill me, I don't care

He's not ready, or he's just there when he wants to be, he decided to trust you after what 4 months? regarding where he lives, but it's also a two way street, you said that you have never taken up on his offer to go to his place, well get rid of the "grrr" and go... Because at this point I think it's important, it will confirm that he wants you there or not.

            That's my take on this.....

                Hi,
                I are right my friend.
I guess he is hiding something which you don't you like. Lastly you try to discuss once even if he continued to be in the same way then just leave him to his fate..

That's what I am doing... I'm leaving him alone. If he texts me, okay but I've come to decide that he's probably not the right person for me and really, I'm probably not the right person for him. Maybe neither of them are right. I can't turn my feelings off for Marty though. I've tried. We'll see what happens in the end.

Wow, this sounds so familiar, please read "abandonment." I am the fellow at the receiving end. How can you help me, you, "of all people" can shed insight into my relationship, which is very similar to yours. I hope to receive your opinion on what you read about my challenge.
As for you, I agree, if you are wounded, then work on yourself, to be satisfied with yourself. Then go on into relationships.

So, when he texts, will you text back or when he calls, will you answer? Or are you setting for no contact?

Whichever you decide, stand your ground, sweetie.
