Here is the deal as I see it, it's all I can do. I can't and won't even try to get into her head. I see things as good before we got married, she faked it and admitted it as a fake.
My love is real, always has been, always will be.
I stated that I was tired of her roller coaster ride and just stopped. She continues on her own ride. I talked to my son before I talked to her because I didn't want to get interrupted, as whatever I have to say is nothing to her and she likes to twist my words to make it something it's not. I opted to talk with him so he doesn't think I'm leaving him or because it was something he did. Not the case, she and I have grown apart to the point that it's hard to even talk to her, she talks over me and my point gets pizzed down the drain. She doesn't listen to me, nothing I have to say is important to her.
We have never been on a vacation. I have never been on a vacation in my life. She has as a child and growing up. My family was too poor to cross the street, let alone go to another town or half way across the state. She won't go on vacation, her job is too important to her. She has 240 hours of vacation built up just for vacation and refuses to use it. She won't even take a few hours off in the afternoon to spend with me so we can work this out. How can I work this out talking to myself? I'm at the point where I am getting numb inside, it usually happens when I have just had enough and I'm ready to call it quits. Just about at the point that I will grab the ball out of her hands and make the decision without her input, she isn't engaged anyway. The ball is in her court now and I'm staying away from her until she makes up her mind. This morning was about the last straw for me. You don't get mad at someone for asking to spend time with them. You figure out a way to make time for them and show them that they matter in your life. Anything else is like throwing their feelings into the trash can.
I'm standing my ground and I'll sleep on the couch until she gets her priorities straight. When she figures it out, it may be too late. I very well may be gone. We talked about this project we have going on to make the house look better in the front. I told her that I will have to live here until I find a place to put my stuff. I have a feeling that she will keep me around until the settlement on my arm is paid and spent and my disability back pay is gone and then she will be done with me. Hey, nothing like tapping a guy out and kicking his *** to the curb, eh? I'm thinking a seperate bank account until I know for a fact that this is straightened out and her head and heart is in the right place. I've been pumped dry before, not my first rodeo~

Mark, the combining of the threads is a good idea, imo. I think you'll see more clearly (as will others) your frustrations, which alot of us here are dealing with, but also the extent to which you want instant results. In all honesty, instant results aren't going to happen. I think I have a pretty good idea of what you ultimately want despite the rants to the contrary. Maybe I'm wrong and you've decided that the issues are too great to overcome. At this point, I don't know.

        My questions were answered.

Believe it or not, I'm only half as dumb as I look. I've been taken for a financial ride before and thrown in the ditch broke and nowhere to go. I think a seperate bank account would be a wise thing to do. I already put all of my guns in my truck and I'm getting the locks changed on it very soon. I won't be losing my tools that I have bought either. I probably have $30,000 in tools that will be walking with me as well. Tractor, implements and hunting equipment will be leaving as well. I've lost my tail in 2 previous divorces and I'll die and go to he'll before it happens again.
I guess you could say that mentally I'm prepared to leave, if that's the way she wants it. Strange, but I oddly have a feeling that I won't be alone very long. Just no more marriage for this ol' boy! I'm done with all that carp. Might just enjoy a cigarette after I'm gone. Been 4 1/2 years since I quit. That was the only thing in my life nobody could control, I could smoke as much as I wanted to. They cut the sex off, I just smoked my *** off. I'm tired of being under anyone's control, I want to do as I please and go as I please. And if I get a Lady that is interested, well... let it be-

My wife and I have been sexual only 2 or 3 times a year. Hopefully that will change as I grow with a new mindset. We'll see how it goes, but I'm committed to her.
I just want to point out that this is something you, MarkT, said less than 48 hours ago.

And now, here we are... you're dividing assets.

Undoubtable this is a complex situation with you and your wife, but from your journey you've been so kind as to share with us in the last couple weeks, I think I can honestly say that I would be emotionally (and probably physically) exhausted being married to someone who did this... up and down and "head over heels" to "flippant disregard". Is this situation all your fault? No.. but holy carp, man! The rollercoaster exhausts me just reading it, let alone living it in real-time.

              So well said.

Mark, here in Australia, the assests are divided from the day you separate, not what you gain after the separation, however, a pre- known income may be classed as "past" as well..I suggest in this regard, you seek advice.

I want to say this to you...

We sometimes spend years, wasting valuable time...Our Morals ensure we don't stop trying and our fear of the un-known keep us there... Our beliefs of marriage keeps us there.

I have not had sex in 8 years.
I have not had a vacation.
              I get laughed at.
I get my words twisted back at me.
              I get NOTHING

Your emotions are dying for comfort... In that, your pain of injuries, and a simple thing as IBS which by the way crushes your energy and emotions, but simple because that one you can beat, but remains as your injuries, because your emotions are dying for comfort.

Yet when we are happy, when we are at peace with ourselves, when we find comfort in others, all those things seem 100 times less, in pain and all of a sudden we can cope and beat so much of it..

When we are happy in ourselves, we get on a plane or in the car and visit another State, Country on our own, with no fear and find peace and imazing things we never realised was out there.

When we are happy in ourselves, we see a smile from someone for no reason and smile back... They see it in us.

WHEN WE ARE HAPPY IN OURSEVLES...

There is nothing complex about it anymore... Now you will travel, smile, reduce your stress, reduce your pain, re-gain good emotions, see people's smiles....If you choose to let go of this pain and say "closure" I want a life, and she has never ever been a wife.....

I also think it was a great Idea to blend the threads.

Mark.. I agree you have been a Yo Yo, what I call Male PMS.
Being that the Symptoms of the Hot Cold, Good Mood Bad mood, Rant and Rave. ( Rants being Negative, Raves being Positive ) it all is an Emotional Roller Coaster.

Suggestion to you. I'm not an Attorney, but do know a few. Some in the L&I, SSI Disability sector, Some in the Divorce Sector.

Talk with an Attorney that does Legal Separations. You can explain that you have a Settlement coming, that you are in discourse with your wife, willing to go to counseling with her, have a son you wish to support and have in your life and provide for his future.

But you wish not to have to wait for your settlement to prove whether or not you can reconcile the marriage or not. In this way, you can Legally separate the Funds, the Love and protect your sons Future, whether you are or not married to his Mother .
In Wa state. a Legal Separation is Not a Divorce, but it allocates the Funds in and out as to protect the other from claiming Spousal responsibilities and Joint Monies without proving fault or making one move out of a home paid for by joint persons.

Maybe you can ask for that, stay in your home as the Father & Man of the house and work things out that have no sex or Money issues to be frustrated over ?
Your Beautiful son can have both parents there. you'll just have to explain that you two are not the " Cuddly/ Kissy " kind of Parents. Just two that Love him and want the best for Him.

Nope, no open marriage for her. She keeps going from a divorce mindset to no I don't want a divorce. I'm staying on my even keel and doing the things I need to get done around here. I'm working on some projects at home here and taking my mind off of all the trouble. Setting stone, working on decorative concrete and such will enhance the curb appeal of the house. Just getting into something else other than wasting my time worrying about whether she loves me or not. I've got better things to do with my time than to worry about something that either puts me on cloud 9 or makes me want to take a dump on her side of the bed. No more of that- I'm emotionally drained and it builds up as I work to make things pretty around here again. I have a green thumb and love to mess around planting flowers and putting a garden out + I get to eat fresh veggies that haven't been sprayed with chemicals. I can tell the difference in how my body feels. My IBS gets worse by eating the food out of the grocery store and better when it comes out of my garden or I have hunted and killed it. I cut up the game I kill, all of it, deer included. No I have never shot "Bambi", cartoon characters aren't very filling and did you know that deer don't really talk, nope, all in old Walt Disney's head,(scary place that is... er, was lol!)

BabyGirl, I have talked to an attorney about my SSI disability and no can do to speed it up. No matter what I've got going on.
The settlement on my arm will be coming through soon, like in 3 or 4 weeks. We have 2 bills I'm going to pay off and that will drop our bills by 500 a month so the financial stress won't be near what it was last month. We got rid of all of our credit cards too. No house payment either, so maybe she will be able to breathe easier and might help our marriage. I'm just not worried about any of it anymore. Worry leads to stress and stress to death. I want to live a long time, if for no other reason to be a thorn in someone's ***, and we ALL know who's- I'm just not worried anymore. Can't stop it anyway, so why worry? Let things happen that will happen, go with the flow and enjoy the carp that gets thrown in your face, because sooner or later, you get to throw a fresh, wet cow pie while their mouth is wide open. LOL...

I guess at this point, I'm totally understanding why your wife hasn't been buying into your attempts at reconciliation. She's seen it before I'm sure and she probably knows how one day you're in love, head over heels, etc then the next day you are ready for divorce just because things didn't change as quickly as you wanted them to. Honestly, I wouldn't buy it either. And at the end of the day, you can say you love this woman and you're the only one that knows whats in your heart, but you seem to dislike everything about her which to me, doesn't equal love much. Perhaps she just sees through it all.
