Interestingly enough I found out recently that in Italian, the feminine definition of the word fine means 'the end' LOL.

FINE!
I always thought it was funny that when a women says 'FINE', you (as a man) know everything is far from fine. I've lost count of the times I've been hoping to see the end of an argument with a women and have tentatively asked 'are you OK?' only to hear the word 'fine'.
Interestingly enough I found out recently that in Italian, the feminine definition of the word fine means 'the end' LOL."The greatest enemy will hide in the last place you will ever look" Julius Caesar -
I don't think I've ever done that. What I do is just clam up and don't say another word. Kind of ignore him for a while.
What I can't stand, and both my oldest son and husband do it, is when they say "Ok, whatever you say". To me that is just the same as them saying "whatever dumb ****". It drives me up the wall.
There is a method to my madness ........ I just haven't found it yet.Comment

There's a physiological reason. Emotions are not just something that occur in the mind. We experience it bodily. Anger, fear, joy - all of them promt a physical response. That response then feeds back into the brain and tells it what to think. Women's bodies take longer to 'cool down'. So, even if they know intellectually that the argument is over their bodies are still telling their minds to be angry.
It's some deep stuff."Those sowing seed with tears
Will reap with a joyful shout." - Psalm 126Comment

Is this when women cry when they don't want to? Because their rational minds and emotions are at conflict with one another? I've found that insisting on cuddling in silence can help diffuse this.There's a physiological reason. Emotions are not just something that occur in the mind. We experience it bodily. Fine, I'll answer you
Actually, I don't use that.. If I am asked "are you ok", I just say, "no"... seriously and then the conversation goes from there.
When I saw FINE... It's when someone replies to me and they are not listening / didn't listen to what I said before hand, in the first place. I go FINE.

What She Really Means
At long last... The Men's ultimate Guide to what a woman really means when
she says something. Pay close attention (there might be a quiz later).
You want = You want
We need = I want
It's your decision = The correct decision should be obvious by now.
Do what you want = You'll pay for this later.
We need to talk = I need to complain
Sure... go ahead = I don't want you to.
I'm not upset = Of course I'm upset, you moron!
You're ... so manly = You need a shave and you sweat a lot.
You're certainly attentive tonight. = Is sex all you ever think about?
I'm not emotional! And I'm not overreacting! = I'm on my period.
Be romantic, turn out the lights. = I have flabby thighs.
This kitchen is so inconvenient = I want a new house. .I want new curtains = and carpeting, and furniture, and wallpaper.....
I need wedding shoes = the other 40 pairs are the wrong shade of white.
Hang the picture there = NO, I mean hang it there!
I heard a noise = I noticed you were almost asleep.
Do you love me? = I'm going to ask for something expensive.
How much do you love me? = I did something today you're really not going to like.
I'll be ready in a minute. = Kick off your shoes and find a good game on T.V.
Is my butt fat? = Tell me I'm beautiful.
You have to learn to communicate. = Just agree with me.
Are you listening to me!? = [Too late, you're dead.]
I'm sorry. = You'll be sorry.
Do you like this recipe? = It's easy to fix, so you'd better get used to it.
Was that the baby? = Why don't you get out of bed and walk him until he goes to sleep.
I'm not yelling! = Yes I am yelling because I think this is important.
All we're going to buy is a soap dish = It goes without saying that we're stopping at the cosmetics department, the shoe department, I need to look at a few new pocket books, and OMIGOD those pink sheets would look great in the bedroom and did you bring your checkbook?

And this list may help ..
Maybe you have heard about some of these already, but this list has been completed and every meaning has been checked from women…. well, woman… me….on behalf of others…
Good: this is the word women use to end a conversation where they are right and you need to shut up;
Nothing: it’s the calm before the storm. She has something to say, and you’d better watch out. Usually, discussions that starts with “Nothing” end with “Good”;
As you like: it’s a woman way to tell you “F**k off”;
I don’t want to talk about it: she needs time to think how to make you pay for everything you are putting her through;
Five minutes: it means half hour if a woman is getting ready. But if she gave you 5 minute to finish doing whatever you are doing before helping her to do whatever she is doing, she has probably already started the countdown;
Whatever: see #3
Don’t worry, I’ll do it: Be careful. It means that she asked you to do something more than once, but now she is doing it. A little late for the man to ask: “What’s wrong?”. For the answer go back to #2.
I did it for you: she is lying, she would never do something only for you;
I have to get up early tomorrow: it means “Forget about it. Turn the other way and just sleep”.
Go ahead: it’s a challenge and not a permission. Just back off.
Heavy breath: this is in this list because it means more than words. It’s a non-verbal statement that men do not understand. When she is breathing heavy usually she’s also thinking you are stupid, and she’s wondering why she is wasting her time arguing with you about nothing (go back to #2 for the meaning of “nothing”);
Have fun at the party: man, watch your back! She is telling you “I do not want you to have fun at the party. I will be calling you and texting you every 5 minutes, and if you do not answer I will show up at the party in no time and kill whoever (because she already knows it will be a woman) is talking with you”. Then she will take care of you;
I’m not yelling: she knows she is yelling and she doesn’t care since she’s right!
I said please: she probably knows she is asking for something she doesn’t deserve, but she is testing your love;
Of course: don’t even believe she’s agreeing with you, she’s just planning something;
Ok: this is one of the most dangerous words a woman can ever say to a man. It means she is taking the time to decide about her revenge;
You don’t need to buy me a present: “just take care of the recycling and reorganize the garage”. You should take advantage of this, she could start asking for diamonds!
Thank you: if a woman thanks you do not ask any questions, she is just thanking you. There is only a very small condition: if she says “Thank you very much” that is just sarcasm. Do not say “You’re welcome” because she will reply “as you like” (see #3);
We need: she is trying to tell you she wants something but she is being nice and you should appreciate it.
We need to talk: she has something to complain about (there is probably why she talks a lot);
We: I;
You never listen: “you need to agree with me”;
You don’t understand me: why do you do this to her? This is bad, you don’t have any excuse!

Fine. x2I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.
...
Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?
From a speech by Patrick Henry on March 23, 1775 at St. John's Church, Richmond, VirginiaComment
