Well, i read these forums, and i am really saddened that i allowed something like this to spoil my marriage with my wonderful wife..

last year of separation, although in same house, has been really tough.

my wife's friends gave her the same advice, i.e. i will not change.. my problem was that i didn't acknowledge issue was serious, and i was too busy focus on providing for family.

I am determined to prove them wrong, since i take responsibility and recognize i need to deal with things more maturely (less emotional and more logical)

it complicated and slowed the progress down since she kept reconnecting with my friend, who was taking advantage of her emotions (he is married, he was sexually aggressive, i believe they were hooking up and i forwarded his emails with his nude pictures to his wife)

My challenge now is to get my wife to trust that my changes are permanent, and there will be no further abuse, and i want her stress-related ailments to go away.

at this time, i need to be patient, yet i really long to spend time with her .

i wish i know what to say to get her to take a chance and get closer to me again..

i really never want there to be another issue again between us..

Do NOT go back to him. You can make it on your own and as you have no children its better. I was in the middle of all of the same abusive behaviour from my father to my mother and she after 25 years!has finally left him he never hit her again after the police where called but he did it in front me and I won't forgive him for doing it. Please don't go back to him under any circumstances, he threatened suicide? Let him get on with it. My dad did the same thing people who talk about killing themself in a "I'll kill myself" way to emotionally blackmail will not do it.
