It's not so much him putting his mouth in your vagina, but him using his tongue and lips to lick, stroke, gently suck on your clit. Of course, he may choose to stroke his tongue in and out of your vagina. There is no right or wrong way to enjoy sex, so long as both partners are consenting and enjoy it.

As for long lasting arousal, I'm not 100% sure I understand your question. Are you having trouble staying aroused or your husband?
Perhaps you are aroused, but not lubricated enough. If that is the case, oral can help with that as well. If your husband is having trouble last for any length of time, was he a virgin when you married? If so, his stamina will probably increase with practice.
