Hi everyone. I have been reading posts on this forum and others. I had the procedure done yesterday 11/04/2010 in the doc's office. It was no walk in the park that is for sure but when I finally got home I was not in pain. This morning I am soar some but I took the day off so my body can rest all weekend.
Now something I wanted to comment on is the fact that no precedure is without risks and everyones body is different. I for one can not handle a paper cut so the fact I was in pain from this procedure was horrible in my opinion. But I knew that going in. Also I read so many people have horrible experiences but I have not come across any one saying there doc was certified to do the procedure. I also had a Essure rep in the room to make sure all went smooth. So it makes me wonder and I could be completely wrong but that some people had bad experience maybe bc of the doc they went to. Also anytime you put a foreign object there are some risks. Heck you can put a tampon in and get Shock Syndrome. I've also read where some people go out shopping or games right after the procedure. Well these are my two cents of course this is day one for me and I am doing just fine.

I had essure done Oct. 15, 2010. I have not had any complications at all. I go in on Monday Jan. 17, 2011 to see if it worked. Wish me luck. Just so all of you that are thinking about it. My worst part is the three month wait. I am impatient. I am excited to find out if it worked. I will keep you posted.

I had mine Nov 5 and when I went to schedule my HSG they told me I have to call them the first day of my menstrual because they have to schedule it 12 days after my menstrual. Which bites because I got the depo the same day of the procedure.

I had my procedure 9/3/1010 and everything has worked out just fine. My doctor inserted lidocaine onto my cervix and put some in my uterus. The procedure did not hurt at all.
I have not experienced any side effects and surprisingly my insurance paid the entire cost!

That is wonderful news. I have reached my 3 months and have to wait to take my test just waiting for the Depo to wear off.
I havent had any complications either

I might be having the ensure procure my apt is secluded Feb.23 I say might because when I went in for my consultation and to set up the appointment with the doctor she didn't seem to answer any of my questions in full it seems as if she didn't know the answers. I also asked for a nickel allergy test due to the fact I cant wear most jewelry or any belts with out have a nasty rash appear, she felt this was an unnecessary test despite my reaction to most metal, and wouldnt even tell me what would happen if I am allergic. I wanted to know if this was "normal" to have your doctor not answer your enssure questions in full and refuse a nickle allergy test. Also what could happen if I am allergic to nickel and go ahead with the procedure?

                  RED FLAGS IN THE AIR

IMO if you are allergic do not get this done. Also if the doc can not answer your questions go elsewhere. You will end up with more heartache than anything else.
I am so thrilled to know that you knew about the nickle allergy test.

                      Hello everyone,

I had the procedure done in Nov no complications I still have not had the HSG test because I havn't had my menstrual yet. After reading so much info on women getting preggers I was wondering if I can go on Implanon as well since I will not do a tubal bc of the down time.
