Glad to know I'm not alone

My father is Portugese and very hairy, and I think unfortunately I got most of his genes when it came to body and facial hair. It all started when I was about 11 years old (I am now 30). I have thick, black, stubbly hair all over my body: My upper lip, jaw, chin, in between my eyebrows, my forehead, upper back, chest, belly, lower back, hands, arms, knuckles, bottom (and it's extremely excessive down there), legs, feet, and toes. I was sitting in a park quite a few years ago with some people I didn't know too well and apparently my shirt had lifted enough when I was sitting that it showed all the dark hair on my lower back. He leaned over and said to me, "You must have alot of hair on your . I bet you have to shave it." WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE SAY THINGS LIKE THIS??? Anyway, I can completely relate to how you feel. I've had boyfriends dump me because of my excessive hair, and the ones I have been with sexually, I make sure the lights are low enough that hopefully they won't see the hair on my bottom very well. I did have a boyfriend that approached the situation delicately, and lightly burned all the long hairs around my hole off for me. Unfortunately, we broke up and it grew back. I asked a girl friend of mine to shave around the hole for me, but she went overboard and basically shaved my whole bottom. Even though I've let it completely grow out at times, it is still ALWAYS prickly, no matter what. The last guy I slept with I knew was discusted with what he saw, and didn't want to have sex with me again after that. I'm sorry that I don't have any answers for you, but I do want you to know that you're not alone. I don't know what to do about it either as I am very low income and cannot afford electrolysis, laser, or anything like that. I tweeze where i can, and shave my legs, bottom, knuckles, feet, and toes. It's very hard to live with, and I too have to take care of it first thing in the morning before my boyfriend sees it, and also stash all my embarrasing hair removal items. I hate that it takes up so much of my life and so much of every day. It's an extreme burden that no woman should have to endure. Anyone out there that can relate I would love to hear from you. Thanks.
My dad is italian and very hairy, thick hair on his head, my mom is german and pretty much hairless with thin hair on her head. I got my dads genes and i remember having to pluck my eyebrows at around 12(im 22 now) because they got real thick and bushy. I had hairy arms and shaved once and it grew back thicker and darker! I didnt shave them again until I was 20 for fear of it getting worse but now i just keep it shaved.

In high school some people would point out my arm hair and i would get embaressed and cover it up. I noticed dark hairs on my stomach and started to shave that and it got worse too. I have thick dark hair on my legs all the way up my thighs and on my butt and in my crack and a little tiny bit on my lower back.

Shaving is too much effort to clear that much skin and have it all grow back in a few days. I've always been super insecure and afraid that someone would see it and make fun of it. Especially the butt hair since the media does teach that its not acceptable for girls to be hairy. I get so jealous when other girls talk about being hairless and they have no idea what its like to go through this. I recently bought a hair removal cream to try and it seemed to work well on the crack area so im going to try again.

When I was around 20 I asked my doc about it since I thought there was something really wrong like too much testosterone or something since id never heard of a girl being this hairy. I got sent to a specialist who tested hormones and other things. They said Polycystic ovaries may be causing it. Then they said that it has something to do with being over weight, Im around 190, they were basically saying if I lose weight and eat healthier it wont be as thick. I personally dont agree, it just seems to be genetics and something that wont go away.

I have hair on my knuckles, toes, upper arms-tho its only darker at the point where i shave my forearms up to and then there is very fine light hair above that but i can still see it. I also get facial hair on my upper lip, in between eyebrows, recently my chin and underside of chin and the side of my neck near my ear have had random dark hairs but i just pluck those.

Ive never wanted a guy to touch or see my butt for fear of the hair being seen or felt, it makes me very insecure, that and other things have me afraid of being intimate. Even the hair all over my thighs since i dont see any hair on other girls thighs its just a huge pain and its so dark and prickly sharp its so ugly, id love to be able to afford laser. I want to find somewhere affordable to wax since shaving takes too much time and effort for a short amount of time hairless. Alot of the time I just let it grow out but i live in fear of it being discovered. i think waxing would help my self-esteem.

But I do feel a bit better now that i see alot of other people have the same problem its so good to relate and build each others self esteem when it makes us feel so bad. One good thing is that my dads side of the family has really nice head hair, hes 64 and alot of his hair is still black and thick. My moms side however is very thin and dirty blonde on her dads side his mothers hair became see-through as she got older and she wore a wig, but her mom has black hair still and shes in her 70's, guess she got her fathers genes. But Im lucky to have my dads genes as far as the hair on my head. its really thick and beautiful, it grows out very nice and luxurious so thats one bright side of it all.

That is the best way to look at it for your self confidence, as long as your ok with it and your significant other is, then its not a problem..i dont have a hairy butt, but i do have alot of peach fuzz body hair and my husband thinks its sexy ,i do have a little treasure trail from my belly but its not very noticeable unless you look close, my husband is not real hairy but he also has a hairy butt..

Every woman has some form of her in her bum area... I personally shave mine - I can't stand having hair there at all. Mainly because my husband likes anal.

Hey, I just want to say you are not alone! I have long, dark hair on my butt (ew).... ugh... it's so embarassing. I always feel so selfconcious about it when I get a new boyfriend. The last thing I want to them to feel when they're grabbing my butt is hair.

I'm 21 and I've never tried waxing, but I'd like to. You ever tried doing it yourself, without your sister's help? I'd love to get brazillian waxes, but they're so expensive.

When everyone says "butt hair" do you mean hair around the anus hole itself and between the cheeks or actually on your butt like a man who has hairy butt cheeks? i have hair that i trim below my vagina area that grows around my butt and between my cheeks, but i dont have hair on my actual but cheeks.

Does anyone have any idea about how to remove these disgusting ingrown hairs from my butt? I can't tweeze them out because well i can't really see whats going on down there! Thanks!
i would try exfoliating with neutrogena body wash and letting it all grow back so it can be soft and not stubbley. Then i would use jolene bleach creme. This will lighten up the hair making it less noticeable and then your skin will be smoother and you won't have to be embarrassed around men. Hope this helps.

I have this problem too I have always just shaved my butt, but then I get these gross pimple looking things...kind of like razor burn on my butt. It's so embarrassing. Is there anything you can do to prevent razor burn after saving down there?
