Until I found this forum, I thought I was completly nuts or that my schizophrenic thoughts of alien intervention were being proved true - whatever the case I've going through this now all alone and scared for over ten years now.

I thought was just me, I had no idea that any other women had ever experienced it. I've been going mad in the vibration is quite often more than I can stand. It is torment to me and if there is any chance of finding a cure I'd be willing to sell my soul to the Devil for it.

It has been terrible. I dream of going to the Middle East to have a female circumcision performed. I even fell so overcome sometimes I could cut away the flesh with a knife - anything to make it stop. It's just so maddening.

Anyway I'll be keeping an eye out here to see if anyone comes up with any answers - feeling at bit better now to know that I'm not completely psychotic and delusional about this.

Hi, everyone! My buzzing started in my nether portions just today -- BUT, I've been having it on and off in my torso for a few months! I would lay there still in bed or while sitting on my recliner, almost like a pulsing on and off sensation, perhaps related to my blood flowing through my veins. When I first looked up "buzzing sensation" on Google, I found many references to "buzzing vagina" but I never looked at the details because I wasn't yet buzzing down there. But now I am! It's a constant on and off sensation, like my Blackberry buzzing to notify me that I have a call or message. And no, I don't carry my Blackberry on my person. I'm 43, with three kids, no birth control. My periods are getting shorter, and I recently had a serious bout with heart palpitations, so I am thinking that the buzzing is related to oncoming menopause. I wish a person with medical know-how would research this ... maybe if enough of us answer a wide enough range of questions, then a commonality would emerge and give us answers. This hasn't disrupted my sleep, but I see that it has disrupted the sleep of others. I hope it doesn't happen to me I've also felt the torso buzzing one or two times today, but primarily it has been confined to my nether regions, just as many of you have also described. I will be following the conversation with interest in case someone with medical training decides to help us figure out what's going on! Maybe it's related to our increasingly wireless world ... just think of all the signals running around and through us all day long!

          Not alone

I have a call into my doctor's nurse now. It's so dang annoying. I want to see if there is something that can be done or if I just have to live with it. Plus want to make sure there's nothing seriously wrong. Will let everyone know what she says!

            Strange vibrations

So happy I am not alone in this but concerned there is not explaination. The vibration feels like a bee is buzzing up inside my vagina and happens while, walking, sitting, standing still or lying down. I've had them for a about a week now. No regularity to the buzzing.

If anyone finds out anything please share.

              IThinkImGoingNuts

              I'm a 14 year old girl . I am chubby , I sit a lot (almost 8 hours) and I barely do any exercise.
I am experiencing electrical sensations almost anywhere on my body but more often traveling down on my spine to my legs ,muscle spasms and I also have a spot under my right shoulder blade which feels like vibrating + pressure(frequent).BUT , the most annoying thing I get is the vibration feeling in my private areas which is a little arousing , which I hate .All of these sensations start with no apparent reason .I am an anxious person and I also have scoliosis .
If anyone knows the reason for my strange sensations , please answer

                Vibrating "privates"

I am relieved, as many others on this forum, to know that I'm not alone in having this strange and annoying symptom! I started having the steady, rhythmic vibrations every few seconds in my lower right vaginal region last month--at the beginning of my menstrual cycle. Then they started up again this week, several days after my menstrual cycle. There is no pain, just an annoying feeling/sensation. I am 44 yrs old, have no children, and my periods have been getting shorter w/ minimal flow over the last several years. Since the "vibrations" only seem to occur on or around my menstrual cycle, I feel that it is likely hormonal changes and/or pre-menopausal symptoms. If this is the case, I just need to find something to provide relief. In reading other forums and posts about this problem, it sounds like L-Theanine (or maybe L-Tyrosine?) herbal remedies from the health food store might stop the vibrations. So, with no other definitive answer, I'm going to try herbal supplements to see if this helps. Hoping for a legitimate medical diagnosis or explanation one day soon!

                  Hi everyone
I am the type who soon as I have a question or symptom I go straight to google
So today for first time ever after rushing out to pick up my daughter i got home and sat at my pc and noticed this buzzing feeling, for me its more on outside between the front and back passage, its like it goes on and off with my pulse, I have also had very bad pinching back pain this last week but thats up near me bra strap not the pelvis although that area not great either. It has stopped again right now but its been on and off for 8 hours now. Will b going the osteopath about me back tomorrow, not keen to say i have a buzzing goin on down there to him though. Hopen it does the trick. Only thing happen lately was i was ill with fever, body aches and nausea all last week, and a flooding period from before that. Still havent found any real answers from medical professionals about this.Hope it goes for good as I find it really uncomfortable.

Hi again ladies and the few gents who added they also have this annoying buzz feeling, ok I have an answer, I went to my Osteopath and he has had many women and a few men over the years come in to him with this complaint, for me he found my pelvis and coxis was way out of alignment and I have seen this Osteo for over 15yrs, he said it was the worst its ever been, but I really havent had much pain in my lower spine, he said thats why i have the annoying buzzing feeling, its basically a twitchin nerve type of thing, anyway during the 1 hour of therapy my lower regions buzzed along, he said i need at least 1 more treatment to release the lockup and also realign problem areas, about an hour after therapy the feeling went away, its now 4 hrs since and its came back 2 times but really faint and it dont stay for long. So please dont go have invasive tests or feel your goin insane, get to a good Osteopath, Chiropractor and ask them first, oh he also said that accupunture can help with this issue. Good luck all, ill update in a week or 2 hopefully that im still doing ok.

Blondie, mine started only yesterday, after reading other forums i went to see my Osteopath, it was embarrassin to tell him i feel like im buzzing
anyway he has seen this many times, so plz if ur still suffering forget pills and tests goto a good osteopath ,its basically ur pelvic bone and muscle ares have gone pout of alignment
Mine was from steppin off a high step which now i remember hurt like , im happy to say the buzzing gone at the moment, anyway go try osteopath

Hello to all the ladies and gents who posted there problem with this annoying feeling, like all of you I too had it come on all of a sudden, felt soooooo annoying, and distracting if I was trying to work or even talk to a friend, I spent hours reading forums and decided the only answer to what it is and how to fix it was.......Go to a Osteopath or Chiropractor, I went today, less then 24hrs since the buzzing began, he knew exactly wat it was and why, down the base of my spine he touched 2 spots which made it buzz worse and were really painful, turns out my pelvic bones and sacrum or watever it is was out of whack, the buzzing settled about 1 hour after 1 treatment, it has come back a few times but isnt as bad as before, I am going for a 2nd treatment monday. This for me is not gyno or neuro related and i doubt any doctors tests would show anything. anyway hope I have helped somone.thank u

Hellooo all I have been having this for about 2 months now, I am not sure if its the same as everyone's symptoms, but i get wierd, non sexual vagina tremors/pulse every time i move my legs a certain way. It happens especially when i am sitting down cross legged and then move my body back as if to relax into my chair. So weird!! I dont know if its an arousal thing, because sometimes this will cause me to 'lubricate' however there will be absolutely nothing sexual going through my brain!
I am 20 years old, healthy and when I got a pelvic exam the gyno thought everything looked normal..meaning this must be a nerve/psychological condition.

I will admit I have a disposition to freak out about weird body stuff, and that my over-thinking about this may be spuring it on. However everytime i get one of the tremors I feel confirmed that there is something physically going on!! Also, tight pants are no longer my friend!

Am i the only person who feels as if this is depressing them/lowering their enjoyment of life?? I just want to be happy/enjoy a normal life again...

Any info would be much appreciated, and if people could keep updating there symptoms that would be great.

Hi Everyone, I could hardly believe that anything came up when I googled this. I am amazed at how common this is and that there really hasn't been a real diagnosis for it yet. My vibrating/buzzing started about a week and 1/2 ago, right before my period. It does stop occastionally but starts right back up if I go to the bathroom. I spotted bright red for 3 days before period, which is very abnormal for me, and I am still spotting now after my period. I am 41 and have 4 children. The buzzing is annoying and feels like a bee buzzing, or like a purring cat (no pun intended). I also was concerned that maybe there was something strange that had got inside me, I was completely freaking out until I found this forum. If anyone has any medical information, it would be greatly appreciated.
