I'm happy I stumbled across this forum and surprised I haven't found it sooner in my years of research. I'm 21 and have been dealing with this for well over 10 years. I'm in tears at my gyno visits and my doctors visits because I always hear the same thing everyone else says. "It's normal." I'm sorry but no. It's not. I refuse to believe that there is no way to fix this. I've been given hope that after I "have a baby" it will go away but after reading why everyone else has said, I don't think it's going anywhere. I legitimately hate my body for acting the way it does. It's an embarrassment, an inconvenience, and just a disgusting burden. I have discharge non stop every day. I would do anything to get rid of it. It's affecting my quality of life. I have had a boyfriend for a year n

sorry! i accidentally posted this mid sentence. As i was saying, ive had a boyfriend for about a year now and we've been discussing getting our own place but i just dont think i see that as an option because of my circumstance. My gynecologist told me most men are usually pretty understanding to this type of thing, but that doesnt change my humiliation. i pray that a doctor or somebody who has figured out how to stop this comes across all of these posts and helps all of us. it is NOT normal. I envy my girlfriends that get to wear cute underclothes, or can spontaneously do over night trips or vacations. im so frustrated. I refuse to believe that this is something im going to have to deal with well after menopause. Ive done all my research, im aware that i have a "healthy vagina". But anyone dealing with it to the extent that most of us seem to be would know that that is not a helpful statement that makes me grateful for a super clean vagina. It angers me further. Also, i believe the medical term for it is Leukorhea just incase that helps anyone else with any further research. Thanks and good luck all.

I don't see why any guy would have a problem with it or why it would keep you from moving. Most guys would actually be turned on by a girl being wet even if the girl were not aroused. It's worst the day after we have sex sometimes for a couple days. I have to use a lot of toilet paper to get all the stringy clear goo off. It's actually great for having sex repeatedly because so long as my husband doesn't wait too many days he doesn't have to worry about spending tons of time getting me aroused or using lube for quick sex. Plus it turns him on to find I'm already wet before he even gets started.

This is nothing compared to the urinary problems my sister has and to a lesser degree I have. This is clean vaginal fluid so most partners aren't going to care and for some maybe it is just normal. If we didn't wear clothes it wouldn't even be noticeable because it would air dry. 90% of the time that I'm home I don't wear clothes. :P For my sister it's urine and I've wet the bed twice and the floor twice in the middle of the night. Once in the middle of the day during junior high I wet my pants. Now that's a health problem and you don't want to know the emotional problems my peers caused. They can find nothing wrong with my sister after years of tests and her wearing pads 24/7 so I haven't even bothered having them look at me. I believe from a few scattered memories and research that we both suffered severe urinary tract infections for possibly years as young children and that my mom did not realize and get treated which may be the cause.

Hi, I have been having the same problem as you and it is so annoying. I have been to the doctors multiple times this year and it seems as it is not changing or even getting worse. I am always worried about it and it affects me emotionally and physical. It always hurts when I have discharge and I wish it would stop! At least I feel a little better knowing that others have the same thing going on.

            Hi,

I also have this problem but am yet to find a solution. I have heard cutting down your sugar intake will help but I am generally eating very well already. May I ask what supplements you take that seem to have helped you out?

Would you grateful for any help!

            Thanks

Glad to know I'm not the only one-I've had this problem since just before I started my period for the first time. It's been pretty bad, although it sounds like I've gotten off lightly, but it's still a problem. I am on the pill due to having PCOS so I'm going to speak to my doctor before I try those supplements. I really hope they help!

I am unbelievably thankful for the idea of trying probiotics! For the last few years I have had a terrible (no odor, thank goodness, no itchiness) discharge ... thick and yellowish and lots of it. No bacteria or yeast or any other kind of infection that the gyn could find but I had to change pad 4x a day and my external vaginal area had become very red, irritated, and sore. I am much older than everyone seems to be on this forum (I'm a very young 73!) but I was at my wit's end. Premarin cream had worked a couple of years ago but then it came back. Because of the comments on this forum I immediately bought powdered Lactobacillus Acidophilus (9 billion units!!) at Vitamin Cottage/Natural Grocers. I started a week ago on a Wednesday night and by Sunday I had almost no discharge! I'm a bit nervous about getting too excited but I am now on Day 3 of the same (almost zero discharge). Hallelujah to women sharing with each other!!! I'll keep you all posted on how long this great result lasts. :—)

The woman I am seeing is going through the same thing and it gets to the point to where she has to take extra panties with her.She don't use pantyliners and she says that she never have. She went to she her obgyn and she told her that everything came back very good and normal, that she is one of those women who has alot of discharge. The only thing where it's a bothersome is during intercourse. She says that it's too much that she can't feel much of me inside her plus I keep slipping out alot and we have to stop for her to wipe much of it a way.Other than that.I love seeing her that wet.

I remember being 13 years old (and not sexually active at all) and thinking I had some sort of problem with wetting myself for a few years after. I wanted to go to the doctor for it, but since I thought I was wetting myself, I was too embarrassed about it. Now, I've accepted I have a lot of discharge, and I know there's nothing wrong since I've had it for years. I'm always afraid someone in public is going to notice, though.

I'm going to have to check into taking probiotics for this issue.

Well I spoke (wrote?) too soon. Despite initially super results from taking probiotics, after 4 days of virtually no discharge it started again and is as bad as ever. Gyn is going to try "freezing" my cervix as she (and a nurse practitioner pal) think it must be coming from the cervix, not the vagina. She did find signs of infection and also prescribed antibiotic vaginal gel and antibiotic pills. If these measures don't work, I'll try using probiotic capsules inserted vaginally. We'll see.
