How does yalls BV not travel to the cervix or other organs, being chronic?
Does it ever make you spot? -
i have the same but fortunately its gone now... sometimes i felt that theres itchy and burning but not to the limit like at the first which is uncomfortable. This is what will happen if you are taking some anti-biotics that trigger the imbalance of your body and vaginal ph will get disturbed. Me. i have it first when im taking the UTI medication then again second when im pregnant, during my pregnancy Dr. doesnt treat me at all only after i was recovered from my CS delivery operation.I know i am not the only person in the world that deals with bacterial vaginosis. Is there a cure that i do not know about. If my doctor gives me flagyl aka mitrodonizale one more time Im going to scream. The drug works but about a month or two later it cames back. I usually notice it right after my cycle goes off or I notice a fishy odor after sex. I was wondering it bv is just a ph imbalance it their anything I can do to balance my ph? If any of you ladies have advice it would be very helpfulLeave a comment:

My Story Update
I first posted back in Feb of this year about my journey with BV. Things have gotten much better, in fact, I would say that I am "normal" now. The turning point for me was using the Rephresh Brilliant Ph tampons. I first bought these online on drugstore.com, but have now been able to find them locally.
So this is my routine to keep BV at bay.
- take a Yarrow Femdophilus pill everyday
- take an AZO yeast pill everyday
- take at least 2000 iu of vitamin D everyday.I think this is very important. There is some connetion there
- I douche with a weak mixture of hydrogen peroxide and warm water (about 1 oz peroxide to 4-5 oz water) after sex with my boyfriend. There is something about his semen that changes my ph and makes me more prone to BV. If I get it rinsed out I don't have a problem
- use Rephresh Brilliant PH tampons with every period.
I used to use Rephresh gel every 3 days for months and months. It really helped a lot but was very messy. I stopped using it when I switched to the Brilliant tampons.
I am so grateful to this website because it gave me ideas about things to try when I wanted to pull out my hair when traditional medicine didn't help completely.Leave a comment:

Hello,
I've been a visitor to the site for a couple weeks now, I've had this going on for 3 yrs now, After going to the doctor for yet another BV and another presciption for metronidazole I just snapped, Only for the doc to tell me that the only thing she could recommend was probiotics called Florajen which you can get at Walgreens, but you have to ask the pharmacist for because they keep it in the frigerator in the pharmacy. Well, So far,so good(cross your fingers). But for me, the whole kit and caboodle is that they have everything from limp penis meds to eyelash serum to grow your eyelashes, but they don't have anything but USELESS!!!! metrogel and pills for chronic BV!!! It just makes no sense!!!! And people like myself and others have to come up with remedies by trial and error to find our own cure. You go figure! I'll keep you posted on how well the probiotics are workingLeave a comment:

hi everyone, u wont believe how long i have been suffering with BV and banging my head against a brick wall! haha I am nearly 32 and when i was 16 i believe i had a very bad water infection, i can still remember the pain. Something bad happened to me when i was a kid which was then made worse by something the family doctor did to me. needless to say i NEVER went to the doctors concerning anything below my neck. i would have rather died than let a doctor near me. Anyway, i didnt know that it was a water infection i had, i had no idea and i couldnt go and ask my mum because i knew she would make me go to the doctor so i suffered in silence and somehow the pain went away. Less than 12 months after that i started suffering with discharge and it smelled bad. I had my first child at the age of 18 and obviously they do test for certain things and i just told myself if there was anything wrong they would pick it up on my scan! i have no idea why. To cut a long story short i have suffered with this for nearly 16 years and it has ruined my confidence. I put weight on because i wont go to the gym in case that makes the smell worse. i have had to wear pantyliners since it began. I have been to see a female doctor over the years, i had std tests which all came back clear ive had swabs which all came back clear i have been treated for water infections and been given antibiotics for BV which didnt work. I actually thought that i just have to put up with it. i have just found your site and this has given me hope, i just ordered molkosan 500ml and got it today so im going to try to put some on a tampon and insert, but also put some in a drink because i read somewhere on here that its not just a vaginal problem, its a gut problem too. I have never been told i have BV but i dont know what else it could be. this condition has nearly ruined my life and changed me as a person. i really hope the molkosan works. It amazes me how the medical profession can grow a whole new body part from a single cell yet they cant find a guaranteed cure for BV. astonishing! I posted on here because reading all your comments has helped me and so maybe my comments can help someone else =0) i will post and let u know if the mlkosan is working for me.

Sorry it didn't work for you. I hope that you find SOMETHING. Perhaps one of the company's other products might be a better for you. I've never tried them, but I am aware that they have a gel insert and probiotics. Good luck. I wish you well.Leave a comment:
