ErIya, the dr wanted to treat the step B b/c I was still displaying symptoms of discharge ( yellowish) & odor, even after being diagnosed for yeast and bv and having already been treated for those. She said that I took the ampicillin but when i went back for a follow up she said the strep b was still present.

I read online that , like you said, most women have it naturally without symptoms. Not sure if im even symptomatic anymore of strep B anymore bc the BV is still there. can't tell the difference!! I've tried the yogurt, i eat it daily and take probootics. I feel like the symtoms are decreasing a bit, which is a good thing. Right now i'm using Metrogel. hope it works.

Hi ladies. Have any of you tried Candaclear? My naturopath gave it to me two years ago when I had bv. I was perfect until just this last Easter. I attributed it's recurrence to: lots of sugar around that time, my period, lowered immunity (run down). I am eating Activia daily, just began the Candaclear today (had to wait for period to end) and am taking a multivitamin and acidophilus tablets orally. I'll keep you posted. Has anyone else read that they have related low Vit. D levels to BV?? Google it.

            Hello everyone!

like everyone else on here i have BV...found out after doing my very first pap, didn't know that white discharge meant infection.
anyways i got the metro antibiotic, but when i found out it leads to yeast infection i through it in the trash. so i used rephresh but it doesnt help (btw...i hate the messy sloughing that comes wit it...those nasty white chunks i can't seem to get out...)
i've been taking fem D now for about 10 but it is NOT working!!!! i am getting fed up! my period came on about day 3 though...could this be the reason why fen D isnt working, or hasnt worked yet?

it frustrates me because the only symptom i have is the excessive white discharge...but i'm afraid if i try to have sex then the BF will be puffed with stink fish smell! or get white chunky discharge all over his stuff!

i ordered balance active but it is taking forever to get here (USA btw) and i'm getting really desperate...

i have a question for those who used balance active...does it have that white sloughing like rephrash does? i completely hate that!

              Candaclear update

So I finished my last suppository of Candaclear. Supposedly the allacin in it has killed all the bacteria and the Lacto. cultures have repopulated in there. I am afraid to put anything anywhere near there. I want a couple of days to just let everything 'set' and pray to God repair itself. I will let you know what happens next. I am still taking a multi vit. and lacto. supplements by mouth. Please please please go away.

I've been reading this board for a month and am finally gonna chime in with my own questions.

For over a year now I've been treated for every vaginal infection under the sun, even though I haven't tested positive for a single one.

At my last gyno appt. (in December) she decided to treat me for chronic bv, although my ph level wouldn't suggest I even have bv to begin with. But I've stumped several docs with my condition.

I've tried flagyl (both normal treatment and also a round of taking it for 12 weeks), but it actually makes the symptoms MUCH worse. I take acidophilus every day. Nothing seems to work. I read a lot of accounts of people having success with Bio Fem gel, so I ordered some and it temporarily makes me feel better but it doesn't actually cure me.

So now, I'm thinking of ordering the Balance Activ gel...but I'm wondering, is there any difference between that and the Bio Fem? They seem to be the same product, but I've seen people who've used both, and one works but the other doesn't. I'm just SO sick of this and I want it to go away!

stops the smell, discarge, painful sex and slimy feeling.
1/6 of 3% hydrogen peroxide and 1/6 of distilled/spring water (as tap water contains chemicals etc)
i used a seringe to gently sqirt the mixture in so it gets it all inside and out too.
you will feel a bubbling/foaming going on, its the h.peroxide killing the bad bacteria. a satisfying feeling.
the bottles of h.peroxide 3% are really cheap, less than 2 euro. i asked the girl behind the counter what it was mostly used for and she said people use it as a mouth wash for bad breath.
I really want to try this! But I have a question...and it might be dumb. When this says "1/6" of the peroxide and the water, what does that mean specifically? I don't know what that indicates as far as how much I should use.

Got my BV after surgery too!

I saw a few women on here mention that their BV started right after surgery that they had. Oddly enough, the first time I had BV was 3-4 days after my tummy tuck surgery. Ever since then, I get BV about once every 3-4 months like clockwork. These DRs that say there is no correlation are just plain wrong. I don't need a study to prove what I am reading here on this forum. I'd love to know what happened in the surgery that caused BV to begin. Any ideas?

well i jus ordered the sweet whey powder product it arrived and last night was my first time trying the product i made it into a ball like detectivesarah suggested and i stuck it up there and went to bed woke up and it seems as if the ball had dissolved because just ran down into my cotton panties when i stood up, when i wiped down there this morning i didn't use any soap or any washing checmical. no i'm at work (i wore cotton panties) i just checked a few minutes ago and my panties are soaked it seems as if it's still draining out from last night i can't really tell the bv discharge scent is there however the discharge it self is just a liquid a bit yellowish substance. hopefully it's just draining. i can't really tell at this point if the whey powder is actually helping but i'll keep you guys updated. i really want this to go away, it's ruining my life!
