Hi everyone. I am new here and I am looking for a treatment to bacterial vaginosis that actually works. This thread is HUGE and I will try to get through it but I just wanted to quickly ask if anyone has tried any of those ebooks on bacterial vaginosis *Removed outbound link* that I keep seeing all over the internet when I search in Google.

Has anyone tried them? I'm tempted to pay the $30 or whatever just because I'm so sick of this bv but I want to make sure it's not a scam.

    Thanks in advance.

Ok so I guess you're not allowed to post links to other websites for some reason.. Am I allowed to say the names of the books I'm asking about? They are "BV Miracle" and "BV Cures"

It would be entirely up to you to spend your own $30, heck you may find the material just plain old interesting even if it does not end up working. However think of it as if there were a random miracle cure for such a problematic area for countless millions of women offered in such a simple place as a book...would it not already be swiped up by doctors and used as the end all be all solution?

I don't think they are a scam as such, more that you are unlikely to find any more information than within this huge thread! I know there have been people within this thread that have paid for it. My advice to you would be to trawl your way through this thread gradually instead. Good luck!

call me crazy, but.....three months ago i figured BV was either due to hormones or the blood feeding the bacteria during your period....SO, i got on seasonique to eliminate the "blood" and regulate hormones at the same time. I have been BV free since. I actually took a dose of Flagyl before starting to BC because i wanted to make sure that the bacteria was DEAD...I am pretty much convinced it is hormone related because i missed two pills and whalah! got my period. I've been lightly bleeding for 15 days in a row now and have NO signs of BV whatsoever! therefore i believe the pills are keeping my hormones in check and preventing the BV....anyone else had a little success here???

I have BV for the third time in 3 months. Each time it is the week before my period and I don't really have the odor symptom either. I think that it is probably a part of PMS and an imbalance, but I have yet to find a very supportive doctor either. I am currently trying all the natural remedies... Like colloidial silver on a tampon, acidophilus pills, yogurt every day for food as well as inserting it vaginally. I hope to find success with these methods and will post an update if anything works. My heart goes out to all of you ladies dealing with this also. It sucks! Can't wait to find a way to make it stop...

A question to all the women who are trying the Acidophiles or any probiotics. Are you using a "shelf stable" or are you using the kind you keep in the refrigerator? I was just recently told by an herbalist the the ones on the shelf do not work, the only ones that work have to have the live organisms, and they have to be refrigerated to stay alive.

If anyone knows about this or has a good or bad report with ether one please let us know.

I've used both kinds. I've tried Femdophilus, Multidophilus12, and Primadophilus Reuteri which all need to be refrigerated. I've also tried to off brand walmart acidophilus and repHresh pro-b which do not need to be refrigerated. Honestly, neither type has made a difference, but they both seemed to work well enough to keep yeast infections away when I would eat sugar.
