Speaking from my own experience.....going 6-8 weeks isn't very good.

He's 36 - he's got his needs. I'd be willing to bet he's taking care of himself during those long stretches.

I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that he has long hours at a stressful job....masturbating doesn't require much effort and can go pretty quickly, satisfy the urge, and no one requires anything of you.

Not a good rut to get into.

Talk to him and let him know that you require more attention. Ugh...you also may want to ask him about porn...that *could* be more of a concern.

I don't think there is much room in a relationship to deny your partner sexual satisfcation.

    Good luck to you both.

True. He might be stressed out about other things. Or his sex drive may be low. Try sending him some sexy texts thru out the day or some racy emails. I used to tease my guy the whole day and when he got home, it wasn't dinner he wanted!!

You have a nice variety of very helpful replies- but, reading through made me think - does he enjoy sex? Many times when this issue is brought up with the opposite sex, everyone rushes in to say - does she enjoy sex, maybe she was brought up to believe that sex is 'bad' and 'dirty' - there is no reason why this isnt a valid point for men.

Just a thought and I realise that you said that the sex was great at the beginning.

Its assummed that all men love sex - however there are a handful that just dont have the drive, this might be chemical or it could just be a fact.

Thank you for all your replies. I have taken all your comments on board.

I am now arranging a relaxing weekend away so we can have a good talk with no distractions or stress. Fingers crossed we get a few things resolved. Many thanks again

But, it can be fixed and things can get better...
Can it be fixed or is it to late??? And how can I fix it???

I think so. I put him through it for 8-10 years... My issues were probably entirely different, but I did some serious sole searching and had a lot of AHAH moments. I had to make some changes within myself...
