    Only joking...
You may be joking but there is a lot of truth there. Not necessarily only a problem with guys a lot of women do it as well. Except instead of porn they may hit the stores and buy excessively, or grab a box of snack cakes, or any number of quick fixes.

I do think that guys tend to be a lot less likely to want to admit to any feelings of insecurity or sexual inadequecy which is why porn thrives the way it does.

Average joe can't see hot anna walking down the street in his bedroom, hot anna won't acknowlege his exsistence and is likely repulsed breathing his same air. But average joe can go home and log online and see hot anna in a thong, see hot anna bent over, see hot anna with a penis in her mouth in a point of view cam that makes him feel like hot anna really wants HIM. The hot anna on the screen doesn't need him to last, doesn't care how hard his erection is, wont ask for a cuddle. Yeah. Fantasy fullfillment, no pressure, why fix anything when you have that.

I totally agree with you on everything.

I was just worried that if I wouldn't add the "I am joking" part, I'd be accused of this and that and I feel too tired to argue over the basics today

But to add something, just look at how many threads we have about women who cannot orgasm; they are not afraid to say so and they ask for help (myself included). I just wonder how many men would post "I don't have an erection with my wife even though I love her", "I lose my erection too easily" or "I am just not as much into sex as my wife is", not half as many as women. No man wants to put his sexual issues in public, he's afraid of being judged as a man. We say "women overanalyze things" but don't men do as well? If a man has such an issue he starts thinking "if I say this then the other men will laugh at me, I won't be man enough to them no matter what they say", so they don't post at all and keep it to themselves.

Also, many men don't want to give details about their sexual life because they feel they sexually "own" their woman. Who would post that his girl does this and that and risk having another man imagining "his" girl doing these things? (that is overanalyzing from men's point of view). They don't dare post "what more should I do to please my girl?" they risk being called "softies" who instead of just having a rough quick one want to actually please their woman (and then they risk an eww reply from "macho" men).

The world is just messed up.

If a recent statistic I saw is anything to go by, the world (of men and women) is indeed pretty messed up. "If asked if there was one thing about their homes they could change, 67% of women responded: their husbands."

            Wow. That's over 2/3.

That begs the question, doesn't it, can we fix these relationships? Should we try? And how?

The quote you quoted begs for to me to quote another quote I saw in a WH post. "Women want to change their man; Men want their woman to never change". (dare I add.... quote, unquote)

Forgive me if I generalise but aren't most women complaining about most men keeping feelings inside, not opening up? That is men. Like the "read the instructions" phobia men will (try to) work it out themselves.
Can't even stop and ask another male for directions.

Now, how to do I add a smillie?? Anyone?? Where are the instructions?? Oh well, I'll work it out.

The Men's Forum is a waste of time: most of the posts there seem to be by juveniles focused on masturbation.
There are other men's fora, however, where this is not the case.
                At WebMD, for example.

But I'd rather learn what pleases women, and so I'm here.

And as for cooking: sometimes it's done just to eat.
I was single for many years as an adult, and got to be quite a good cook, not to impress women but to feed myself.

The Men's Health sex forums are a worthless waste of server space. Every thread is filled with spam for knock-off viagra out of Mexico and China. Most threads are started by member's who learned English as a secondary language (most OP's are from India) and there are no 'regular joe' posters, Most threads are updated every few months, if at all.

Since they have no moderators (nobody has been culling the spam for over a year) AND the majority of posts are from countries that have a sketchy (at best) grasp of sexuality ("How do you catch gay?" "My daughter is pregnant, did she have sex?", et cetera), well, Its no surprise that nothing important ever happens there.

                    The quote was:

“Women marry men hoping they will change. Men marry women hoping they will not. So each is inevitably disappointed" - Albert Einstein

                    ... which I quoted

I liked your post except the part above ... English is my second language (out of 4) and in fact I'd like to see more threads created by foreigners as I find them interesting.

I know what you meant with your line, but I just felt like I had to clarify something.
