Thanks, WildChild. That sounds like great advice.

In general, though, since I'm pretty new to the whole sex thing (really only one other partner before this -- which I think probably doesn't help my confidence), how should penetration feel? Should I be able to slip in relatively easily? Or does it require more of a pushing/thrusting in?

Any advice on the above? I don't mean to press, but it's something that's really been weighing on me/stressing me out.

Well I can't say how penetration should feel for a guy, but once you've moved on to intercourse, just make sure she is really relaxed and very wet. Don't thrust into her, just push gently. Push in just past the head, stop and make sure she is comfortable, then you can gently push in the rest of the way. Every woman's vagina is different; some you can just slide in easily, and others you have to push a little but just make sure she isn't feeling discomfort.

          Hi
Try giving her a long non threatening massage as foreplay. Get some body butter or massage oil.
This will help her overcome her anxiety and yours. Once you have developed a good massage technique it will be as effective as more genital foreplay.
When you feel she is ready get her to lie on her back with her knees in the air- you lie on your side and rub the head of your penis up and down slowly from her clit to her vagina. Not trying to penetrate. This will help to make or keep you hard while providing her with non threatening stimulation. As this progresses try dipping the just the tip in occasionally- work up to deeper penetration with feedback from her.

By using massage you are generating Oxytocin- this is the Neuro-hormone that creates relaxation in women and erections in men.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.
