I was told that oral can be an intense experience for a man, since you can do a lot down there with your hands, tongue, mouth, and throat, including the vibration you can create with your vocal cords.

Meanwhile, penetration is also great. It gives both participants a different level of intimacy that oral could not equal.

It all depends on individual preference, and what you both agree upon. Variety is important, as well as proper timing and technique.

Yeah as sort of mentioned above, I think variety plays a key role. If there's more variety during oral, the person might like oral more. And vise versa.

A lot of women prefer the orgasms that they have during oral to intercourse and many can't even orgasm at all except from oral so I really don't think it would be totally unusual for a guy to prefer oral as well.

I absolutely love performing oral on my boyfriend so its just as intimate for us as when we have sex. I've asked him which he likes better and he always says its almost too close to call, but that penetration is his favorite but at different times he desires one way or the other in particular but for the most part either/or is great.

The only thing he says that he prefers is when i give oral every once in a while. He says that it feels 'special' and 'incredibly intimate' and says that if it was done too often he might up loosing the excitment he gets with it. Personally, they are too different a stimulation to really pick one over the other, both are spectacular in my opinion (typically). There could be a bunch of reasons why a guy would prefer one over the other. I prefer the closenes during penetration personally, but it is definately more work than recieving or even giving oral (not complaining, just speculating), and as far as I go, I could last longer recieving oral than I could during intercourse with my ex.
