I think this is a very good lesson learnt the hard way. You are young, you recognize your mistake, you understand why you did it, you are honest to yourself (which is very important) and you most certainly won't do it again.

You are very lucky to have been "taught" the importance of not having sex with men you're not in love with now, when you are young and single, than years later when you'd be in love with someone but tempted in the same way. Most people don't realize this, but you do now. I am actually happy about you (even if this may sound crazy), because I can almost guarantee you that after this experience you will come out stronger and wiser and won't do it again.

Don't be too harsh on yourself. Yes, it was wrong, it was not worth it, but better learn this sooner than later. There are so many women who cheat/have sex with married men just because they find it exciting, but when they realize it was not worth the trouble it is too late for them and those involved with them.

Don't contact this man ever again. This will only work against you. Just approach this as a war wound and learn from it.

There should be more women (and men) with the morals and the concience that you have. Most women would not even consider his poor wife. Yes you made a huge mistake but obviously you have no intention of ever doing it again. Try not to hate yourself so much and move on. (stay away from him). The woman that my husband cheated with felt very bad too, to the point where she did threaten to kill herself. But ONLY because my husband would not leave me and my three young children for her. Now that is a bad person. You are not. Take care.

u r totally over reacting. don't blame urself! how can u commit adultery when you're not even married? he's the married one! go tell his wife that he's a cheater if u feel this bad! if u don't want to, then just let it go! its nothing to feel this bad about.

also, here's an idea...create another screen name and talk to him on it! create a whole new fake profile and gain HIS trust and find out more about him. find out where he lives AND tell his wife! that should make all these bad feelings go away.

u didnt do anything wrong! u had a good time and that's always fun. but if u feel this way tell his wife.

No, no, no What comes around goes around.. He's done it once, he'll do it again and, he'll get caught as well

No point, hurting her, she'll find out in due course, trust me, Kalma will bite him in the bum....

Revenge isn't worth it, it's a waste of energy.. Better, to know, that one day, he will get his and in that, lose.

By the way he acted and reacted, he must have done it before and he will do it again. He was good at planning and he didn't seem 'impressed' (i.e. he must have thought he had "better" girls before and didn't even care about how you felt about it all). If it meant more than sex to him he would have acted very differently.

As for his wife, she probably either knows or suspects something. Most women do. Telling her what happened won't help anyone. He can say you're lying, or that he won't do it again, or that it didn't happen like that... Stay away from them as far as you can.

Yeah. I don't see the point of hurting her. I also think this guy has issues. He told me about the love of his life from College and how he had always loved her... then meeting her again a few years ago and them falling inlove all over again. What's sad is they're both married now. I don't know if I'm supposed to believe this story... he must have used this trick to "connect" with me, to sort of empathize with me for what im going through now. I don't know. But it really doesnt matter to me now.

He sent me a message today asking how i was. And I thought he wouldnt talk to me again.

I feel better after reading all of your comments guys. Thank you for making me feel so much better. I always find comfort in this site. Thank you all so much!!!

The bible says otherwise. If you slept with a married man, then both of you committed adultery. I feel so strongly about this because I'm a Catholic. It's a mortal sin.

I don't think it's a good idea to tell the wife. I've done enough harm to her as it is. I know for sure that I'm never sleeping with her husband again.

                Some learning experience... whew.

Yes, the Bible does say that, but I believe we are also put on this earth, to correct our past mistakes, or if first time here, to correct these mistakes this time.

Lets face it .. who doesn't make mistakes? It's if you learn by them that counts.

On the note of him texting you, hope you didn't reply Let him have a conscious, let him feel guilty and let him always wonder what you thought, always..

                  That's the best revenge

My father cheated on my mom countless times for years. That's why I feel bad about what I did. There is such a thing called "karma" and I truly believe in it. I don't want to be the weeping wife someday because my husband's sleeping with young women.

Thank you for not thinking that I'm a bad person. Coming from someone who's been cheated on, that means a lot.

I hope you don't fall into the psychological trap of continuing to make these types of mistakes because you think that the first time was such a tremendous error that you somehow don't have the strength to stop. Kind of like an addiction.

When I cheated on my ex, I wondered if that meant I would always be a cheater. If I had changed so drastically that there was no turning back.

But that simply wasn't true. Just took some effort and TOUGH LOVE from the people I told, and I was able to learn from my experiences, forgive myself, and grow as a person.

If you do respond to his texts or meet up with him again in any way, you will be back to square one.
