OK, an addendum: More women than men utter phrases like "oh, sex isn't that important for me" or "I really don't get anything from sex". Now, a woman who hasn't been properly satisfied might change her tune once she has a good lover, but just as many in that category don't even hag the desire to try.

a lot more men than women have to deal with being the unsatisfied one in a relationship.
Have to be careful with statements like this. It depends on the subjective definition of unsatisfied, could be based on frequency, number of positions, how wild and crazy things are, emotion(s) during sex, the list can go on and on about what is unsatisfying. What is good for one may not be for another. There are women who do have a satisfying sexual relationship however their men may stand in the background and secretly say "well I am not actually satisfied because she does not do x,y,z like she should be doing". There are men who are having sex frequently and they may be enjoying it, the woman is satisfied and the men are simply thinking that because the sex is not some preconceived notion of how sex "should be" they are left feeling unsatisfied. It pops up all the time, "she does not swallow my cum so I am unsatisfied", "she does not want to do it in public so I am unsatisfied", "she does not want to indulge in the the world of hardcore bondage so I am unsatisfied", "I know she is not a loud crazy person but because she is not wild and loud and crazy in bed I am unsatisfied". The fantasy department is where this is most common. A lot of men get far too into their fantasies and expect their SO to do something every single time all the time because in their fantasy she is doing everything he thinks a woman should be doing, once that does not happen in reality he gets upset and says he is unsatisfied even if he is having regular sex.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.

That's why I posted an addendum to my comment.

I hope I didn't come across like that in this or other posts.

No you did not come across as that in any of your posts that is why I said "there are men" and not "you" lol.

Joe - I'm glad to see your addendum. What you said doesn't make you a bad dude.... it's common for one gender or the other to feel that way. I think there are many things you'll learn here at WH, and one of those things is that there are MANY unsatisfied women out there. I think one of the biggest differences is that many of us gals were brought up not to complain... so you may hear the complaints here anonymously, but you won't often hear them mention it in your daily life. Women are often too embarassed to admit that their husbands don't sleep with them, don't touch them or show them any affection. But here, you'll see so many cries for help from women in that very situation, along with women who lack sexual satisfaction because their partner would rather masturbate and/or look at porn. Or because he treats her like a semen receptacle (I say that alot...lol) and has mechanical sex with her just to get off. Or because he doesn't respect and cherish her in their relationship. Or because he has never taken the time to learn what she likes and she's been married 15 years and never had an orgasm with her husband. Imagine that.

It's incredibly and painfully common to see both men AND women who are unsatisfied in their marriages, whether it be sexually or otherwise. Hang around here long enough and you'll get an insight into "the other side" of the gender track.

I am actually trying to do more to please my wife...its her that seems to want single position, penetration only sex. I am trying to get her on board to doing more things. Getting her to talk about sex is the real tough part but we did have a nice talk the other night...not sure you saw my other topics I started or not.

After reading so much about sex, it seems tough for everyone, maybe i should just give up on sex and go live in the moauntains and enjoying my life and good'ol mother nature. Aint nothing wrong with living a good to honest hard working life.

I hear you, BullWrangler, but life is tough. Single or in a relationship, there are challenges. I think you're on to something. It's a rare person that's built for lifelong celibacy, though. If you have a decent sex drive, you probably need some sort of spiritual foundation to succeed. I know some folks that do it (mostly women because they don't believe in sex outside of marriage but can't find a suitable mate), but they struggle. If you can pull it off you miss a lot of headaches, but also a lot of fulfillment. It's probably a toss up.

Also, these boards are going to skew your view if you take them as representative. People are often posting because they have problems. My marriage is not issue-free, but I get good lovin' from my wife every time we do it. My drive is higher, but she never rejects me. So, I can have good sex as much as I want. She has more orgasms than ever and I've learned how to give her one every time. It's better now than it ever has been in our relationship and we've been married just shy of 12 years. When we're apart for a few hours I miss her. When she walks into a room my heart skips a beat. When she smiles I melt. I know why men chisel rock into the form of woman and speak verse.
                  "Those sowing seed with tears
Will reap with a joyful shout." - Psalm 126
