The only problems I have being on top is the occasional leg cramping...usually a little shift of body weight helps that out, but a cramp in your hip joint does not feel good! I'm a little person, and my boyfriend is on the broader side, so saddle soreness is a bit of a given. I'm a little bit shy in bed, but I'm slowly coming out of that with him. I'm still getting used to a guy who doesn't sit there and tell me I'm too skinny, or that my butt isn't big enough, or what i did wrong during sex. I'm now geting a bit "braver" about being on top and quite "visible." I often feel a bit awkward up there because, like the person who posted this thread said, I'm not quite sure what to do with myself once I get up there....without being completely awkward.

I love the view of my wife riding on top, but as much as I enjoy the view, the sensations aren't quite as good as man on top or doggy style.

Really? The sensations I get from her on top are FANTASTIC and as good as any other position... I guess its all individual, as I cant see anything else making that much of a difference.

Colorado, yes it's an individual thing. It's not that I don't get any stimulation from woman on top, it's just that other positions feel more fantastic. For any guy though, woman on top should be fantastic

I understand now, and I think maybe it may have to do with hmmmm - lets call it timing?
Bear with me here - why do some guys find masterbating more pleasurable when they do it themselves, than when their wives/GFs do it for them... because they know what to do exactly when they need to do it - softer strokes, harder strokes, faster, slower, more towards the top, more towards the bottom, longer, shorter strokes etc... there is much to it actually right? Well perhaps, she just needs to "read" you a little better and YOU can help if that is the case. Using the same example as above, its helpful when #1 she is able to watch you and see what pleases you - after all YOU know better than anyone else! and #2 Let her hand ride on yours while you do it so she can feel exactly what it is you are doing to make the feeling so great right?

Well again, and just speculation; if it is possible that this could be the issue, then talk with her - walk her through it - tell her faster/harder/slower/deeper, etc... perhaps then with your assistance you can get that feeling to become more exquisite, and make it all you want it to be.

Then again, maybe I'm way off track?

I like being top at times, the feeling of me being in control for a change is refreshing, i control the depth the speed and i can grind my clit into his pelvis and orgasm a number of times..

                Tips?
I wouldn't be too concerned regarding the comments in red. You stated he "loves it" when you are on top, so I would have to think you are doing a good job.

It's definately a different sensation simply because it both different motions and different emotions.

I loved it when my wife would be on top. Seeing her in this different position as opposed to a normal missionary position is something that is very erotic and sensual.

The feeling of her controlling the tempo and thrusts is equally erotic and sensual.

It really is just a matter of perspective and what one finds enjoyable.

My opinion is that variety is a great thing. Different positions just keep things interesting. However, I never thought of the "everything out" aspect before. Guys tend to be visual so from my perspective this is a good thing, no negative connotation at all. I think that many females appreciate the ability to "grind" and control the stimulation too. Up and down or rocking. Itʻs all good.

This position sucks if your man is well endowed, let me tell you.
But if i'm hot enough for him i can manage it I like it, it feels nice. But not racey (for me)
for me, him on top, gets me realllly excited and close.
But i've only had sex 5 times, what would i know?
