Well I honestly dont see myself as having anything WRONG with my body at all - but, apparently this is something that she wants to experience (my being hairless there), and if that is something she wants then, hey, why not try it if it will please her right? I know she does things that she may not really like to do on her own, but she does them for me... why wouldn't I reciprocate?

A WEEK? Are you serious? No, I don't like that part at all... I know after doing some pre-emptive reading, that they say no activities that would make you sweat and/or allow clothes to rub the area for 24-48 hours, but a week? Seriously?

LMAO Tex, I agree for the most part, but I also see the reality of the saying "no pain - no gain", as I was once BIG into bodybuilding/shaping. Sometimes to force muscles to generate bigger and stronger, you have to rip them, and that involves pain. Can it be done without doing so? Some claim yes, but I can tell you it doesnt work with me - I've tried.

Anyhow, I'll be there tomorrow at 11:30, so afterwards I can let everyone know just what the experience is like for guys, and just how much pain is involved - just in case someone else is being asked to do this for their ladies; and then hopefully we can put this thread to bed. :0) or at least in a week or so (Allie) lol

She had me try that as well... she didn't like the stubble :0) ...and let me tell you I didn't care for the feeling either - that stubble thing hurts (even while just walking)!
Now don't think I'm like an ape down there or anything... I keep everything tidy, clean, and neatly trimmed with clippers, so it's not that. I'm fastideous with my body, and kind of a neat freak too; though not to the point of being OCD.
I think she just wants to experience the complete nekkidness of everything without the prickly stubble the next day.

          Update:

So I had the procedure done.

          (Observations)
          - Not painful at all (sheesh, I was worried about nothing)
          - No blood
          - No bruising
          - MUCH less painful than a Tattoo (but again, I don't really find them painful anyhow)
          - Nothing like the movie "40 Year Old Virgin"
          - No need to bite down on anything lol
          - Feeling of the hot wax was "unique", not uncomfortable, but very odd
          - I can't imagine it taking a week to get over it - I feel great now already (tomorrow may be different)

Now I did take some Alieve beforehand (no drinks ), so perhaps this has made a difference, but non-the-less, I didn't find it bad at all. The worse (most uncomfortable) part was just being there splayed out in front of the nice young lady performing the procedure, but I have to say that she was nothing but professional and a great talker, which made me much more comfortable with being there getting this done. You know when your nervous, sometimes just gabbing during, will help - and that is the truth here. She was humorous at times and had a very "not a big deal" attitude. Very professional.
As much as I had doubted it, it does feel surprisingly good, and I can definately see myself going back if the wife really likes it, but that final descision will be that of my wife (find out when she gets home).

Anyhow, if any of the guys feel the desire or have their wives/significant others who suggest this - try it... it's really no big deal (at least for me).

On a final note when I first arrived, I asked the lady doing the procedure what I should expect and how painfull it is/can be - she did say that it depends on the individual, and she has had grown men in there crying like babies during the procedure, and then others who have had no problem at all... So I guess the moral of the story is that, much like anything else it depends on the individual, and their pain tolerence. She did explain that sometimes there can be some blood, but usually just from the hair folicle - no tears of the skin or anything like that. Afterwards she recommended some product that is supposed to be used twice a day - what she didn't say was that it was alcohol based! and lemme tell you - no fun at all using that on your sensative areas!!! That was by far the most painful of any part of this procedure.

Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to get me through this - you're the best! ...and though some of the comments more than likely offered the worste case scenario, I certainly appreciate that, as I'd rather expect the worse and not have it occur, that to expect nothing and then have the worse happen! Thanks again - you folks are golden!

There are all sorts of videos on the internet showing the faces of men getting this done. There's even audio to go along with it.

If it's something your wife wants you to do and it's something she does, then go for it.

            No pain no gain, right?

HA! Glad everything went smoothly for you, Colorado (yes, that pun WAS intended). I would probably go if my boyfriend ever suggested it, but I think I'd take your advice and take some sort of pain reliever beforehand.

Okay, I have a very personal question as I'm picturing you lying on the table getting waxed--did she have to touch or move your parts around to get it/them out of the way? How did that work? I have no idea why I want to know the answer to this! Pardon my curiosity!

                      Glad it went well!
