Do not forget to factor in the decreased amount of nerves within the actual vagina, posterior or not. The gross majority of nerves making up the vagina are within the entrance of the vaginal canal at the opening, once further in there is a decreased amount of nerve endings for biological sake. That biological part being birth would be an even more horrendous painful experience if there were more nerve endings that were responding to any touch and hence the lack of response deeper in the vaginal canal. The erogenous zone could therefore be seen as an essential mental fixation on the idea that then length of a penis is providing the pleasure...despite the lack of nerves responding to touch in that area relative to an area more close to the vaginal opening. Based on anatomy and physiology alone, the feeling of being full would be more suited to more girth due to more nerve response at the entrance of the vagina regardless of how long the penis is. But I mean if a woman likes a longer penis because she just so happens to like a longer penis then she may be thinking that she can only receive pleasure from a longer one and therefore will find no pleasure from a shorter penis regardless of the physiology that states both could provide the same thing (minus the mental fixation) due to the amount of nerve endings at the entrance of the vagina. For a woman with a sensitive posterior fornix, and a cervix that likes slight/rubbing contact, you can see how this length is beneficialThere are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy. -

Right, this is exactly my point. Im not trying to prove that bigger is always better, Im just trying to get people to stop saying bigger is never better and always causes pain.Originally posted by jnsUnfortunately, in some women there is a fair amount of pain that occurs with deep penetration. There is a lot of variation in the placement of pleasure and pain receptors between women. A short penis may excite the G spot when controlled by a knowledgeable user. The same person could go on to the next woman and strike out completely because she doesn't have the same concentration of receptors in that area or she may not be able to process the sensations into excitation. But for her to miss out completely because she mentally blocks herself from getting excited does damage to both her and the guy she is with.Comment

But there underlines the problem, it's not "bigger" it's perhaps "longer" and mis-used for a better word, in the non understanding of each of us women as in-dividuals, what we can and can not handle.Im just trying to get people to stop saying bigger is never better and always causes pain.
Ramming it in, pushing too hard, hurts, causes pain to some women, we should know we are women and I believe you posed that question which was part of what was deleted, "let the women tell us"...
Bigger doesn't mean width necessarily it can also mean length and it has to have a fair amount of length in any event to reach the cervix...
It causes pain for alot of women and they don't like it... To them they do not prefer a "bigger" penis...........PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment

Im not trying to persuade anyone to think a "longer" penis is not capable of causing pain. But, why qualify it with such negative connotations, why does it have to be assumed that a "longer" penis is always "rammed in, push(ed) too hard, hurts..."? Longer penises are capable of producing pain, but so are thick ones. Tears at the opening and excessive soreness the next day are both common results of excessive girth, regardless of wettness or excitement. So yes, I assume bigger in general to be capable of causing painBut there underlines the problem, it's not "bigger" it's perhaps "longer" and mis-used for a better word, in the non understanding of each of us women as in-dividuals, what we can and can not handle.

I guess I dont see any rebuttal in this post. From my first post in this thread, all I have been trying to do is stop people from using negative qualifiers to degrade length, and to stop using absolutist statements. Some people seem to be of the firm belief that length can never equate to more pleasure and only cause more pain, and I strongly disagree with that. Ive outlined my rational in the hopes that some people could see that there might be more to this that what must be said to be "politically correct." If what I have laid out, solely in the hope that the negativity that surrounds length would be lessened, doesnt make sense to some people then there is nothing else for me to add.Comment

I was merely saying that it in deed does cause pain for some women, and other women here have confirmed that.Ramming it in, pushing too hard, hurts, causes pain to some women,
Here is a question for you, see you are not debating, you are not asking anything, you are forcing an opinion, your opinion wanting it to be heard. There is nothing degrading at all about a lengthy penis? Again, note, I said "some women"... and some women as I said, have also come along and said yes CW I have that problem, there is no negative put down it's factual.I guess I dont see any rebuttal in this post. The question why is it that you are heck bent of ALL women thinking length or width does not hurt it can be beautiful? If you read the 360 pages, some women do think width is better, for instance, however, everyone pretty much agrees irrespective with the below statement.
Here is Australia and I'm pretty sure it's Universal there is a saying " It's not what you've got it's the way that you use it"..
Because that is also a fact, if a man knows his woman , women in general, now to please her, she will either open up more or her muscles will contract more and guess what that means? She will accomodate any size, unless she was born with a small cavity and there is nothing that can be done about that...PUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment

Sigh. We have had countless threads over the years from women worried that the average man will date only large busted women and from men worried that the average woman will date only men with a large penis. The whole point of this thread is not only to gather all those posts in one place, to keep from cluttering up the rest of the forum, but also to dispel those two myths.
Many have said that a large penis can cause some women pain, but I'm not aware of there being many posts that say a large penis is always a bad thing. The thing is that many women have a preference one way or another, because vaginal length also varies, but the basic message of the thread is that nobody in their right mind is going to base important relationship decisions on size, whether penis or breast. So in that sense, no, size does not matter.Comment

NEVER and ALWAYS. Those are two words you should "NEVER" use.Im just trying to get people to stop saying bigger is never better and always causes pain.
Why? Because they don't hold water and give readers the impression you lack credibility.
As long as I've been on WH, and as MANY times as the penis size issue has come up (and trust me, I could recite it in my sleep) I have not heard at any point someone say "BIGGER IS NEVER BETTER AND ALWAYS CAUSES PAIN". People have, however, given their own personal opinions based on their own personal experiences. Some women have clearly stated they prefer a man who is at least a certain length or more, or a certain girth or more. Others have said "Eh, who really cares? It's not the size of the fish it's the motion in the ocean"....or something like that.
If you agree that longer is not ALWAYS better, then there is no argument. If you agree that longer doesn't ALWAYS cause pain, then there is no argument. And really..... until you have a vagina and actually experience different penis sizes, then you don't truly know......and therefore, NO ARGUMENT.
Take some of this energy and put it toward a good cause...ya know, like helping someone who needs help, charity, giving someone helpful constructive advice to help them in their situation, etc.Comment

So, it isn't what you got it's how ya use it.. And in knowing each other's bodies, wet enough, not too wet, sensitive not sensitive, hurts, doesn't hurt....

One of your very first posts on this Forum... I think you need to go back to that line of thinking... Because, there at least you "got" it and the statement is a good one.I think penises are just as diverse and unique as vaginas. Some women have sensitive vaginas and powerful G-spots and orgasm like crazy from penetration. Some dont feel much inside and can only orgasm clitoraly. Some penises are sensitive and can orgasm from little stimulation, some require more frictionPUT A LITTLE 'LIKE' IN MY SOUL!Comment

That is exactly how I still feel. I felt that there was an overtone of negativity associated with larger penises in this topic, and I got a little defensive and tried a little too hard to provide a counterpoint. Ill drop it.So, it isn't what you got it's how ya use it.. And in knowing each other's bodies, wet enough, not too wet, sensitive not sensitive, hurts, doesn't hurt....

I can't belive I read this whole thread. Ok, I'm going to throw in my 2 cents.
As far as the does size really matter debate, I agree with most, it all really boils down to personal preference. You might as well argue over which color is the most attractive.
I'm posting this for the insecure men who have let this become an issue or obsession. This is my story. It is absolutely true and I have nothing to lose or gain by telling it.
I am a rather small guy in build. I'm 5'6" and 150 lbs. I have always had a problem with my stature and was teased repeatedly when younger with nick names and so on. Up until a few years ago I really had no problem with penis size. At 5.75" X4.5" I didn't see myself as large nor did I feel small. Having been a nice looking fit guy and the front man and lead guitarist for several bands, I had no problem getting women. I had no compaints in the size department either.
Fast forward... In 2003 my wife of 13 years had an affair and we divorced. In the aftermath she was kind enough to tell me how her lover was much better equipped than me and how much she enjoyed it. Thus was born a new insecurity.
I remarried a couple years later but always had the nagging size issue in the back of my head. My gut instinct was that she did it out of spite to hurt me but there was always the what if; plus the fact that my new wife and I had amazing sex. She would have mind blowing mulitple orgasms and just lie there and quiver. This struck a chord with my ego, but one night after a deep discussion about sex she stated her ex-husband was probably 2 inches larger than me. Newly gained confidence.... out the window.
Over the next few months I began to obsess with my penis size. See the posts from "depressed", I was almost at that point. After googling everything I could think of about penis enlargement I came across a popular natural penis enlargement site. What intrigued me was that it was free. There were no ads, no one selling anything. The site boasted that if you performed the "exercises" you could gain size. I am by nature a skeptic and a cynic.
Having nothing to lose, I started the beginners routine. After about 2 weeks I measured. I was 6.0" X 4.5. I thought I had probably just measured wrong at first but never-the-less my erections were getting stronger so what the heck, I continued. After about 1 month I measured again. I was 6.25" X 4.625". From there I went gung-ho. I bought an extender, pump and various other paraphernalia. After about 18 months the gains slowed and eventually stopped. My final size was 7.44" X 5.0." A gain of 1.8" X .5"
Were the gains permanent? Somewhat, I am now 7.25" X 4.875". The exercises involve stretching the penile tissue and eventually it requires more and more time to get results. It requires a LOT of dedication, just like any other exercise or body building program. Lots of guys start but not many stick with it long enough to see any real results. I would really like to get more girth but now that I am divorced again,
I lack the motivation. Maybe one day I will resume.
As a side note, my wife was aware of my program and did notice the size increase. However, my larger size did not equal better sex. The best results came from my improved confidence.
Am I suggesting all insecure guys rush out and do this? No, but if you are depressed and desperate, it is an option. If you go this route don't pay for infomation, it's readily free and easily found with any search engine.Last edited by HardBody; 08-01-2011, 02:12 PM.Comment
