Exactly, you could secretly buy some toys that suite you more if they would fill you better. You honestly fear not being able to feel 5 inches inside of you? Do you enjoy being fingered? Look how small a finger is... and how much pleasure it can bring. I think you might have some mental aversion to the thought of going to a penis smaller than your exes penis... but 5 inches is by no means small. Vaginas are elastic, your sex with a 9 inch penis didn't deform you inside to wear you will need another 9 inch penis to be able to fill in the spaces he created... vaginas don't work that way.
And just because a man doesn't have a lot of experience doesn't mean he can't turn out to be the greatest lover you've ever known. As long as a man is caring about your pleasure, as long as you open up to him about what feels good to you -- he will learn YOUR body and how to please YOU. Who cares if a guy was an awesome lover to the last 3 women he slept with-- the last 3 women may have liked completely different things than you do and so his 'experience' won't benefit you anyway.Comment

Normally I am a huge advocate of COMMUNICATION in any relationship, however it might be best if you didn't tell him that he's following up a 9" guy with his only-slightly-smaller-than-average penis.
Personally it wouldn't bother me (I like to think) as I would see it as a challange to pleasure the woman more than 'the big guy' did. However there are a lot of fragile egos that belong to men (and women of course).
So how about you tell him that the other guy was a bit bigger, but that you are glad of the chance to sample a more 'normal' sized tool?
In the mean time, you could start a training routine for your pelvic floor muscles, so that you can exert more pressure during intercourse.

In my experience, the 'secret' use of anything in a relationship can only lead one way... to mistrust and anger.
A friend of mine had to resort to 'sex toy sabotage' when he realised the reason his wife wasn't giving it up was because she was tiring herself out with her rabbit (toy, not fluffy animal) when he was looking the other way. He de-soldered one of the wires so that it wouldn't work

i think the most important thing is to understand your body first and foremost and find someone you can communicate openly with about it. u hear about women preferring average size (5-6 or whatever this weeks average is lol) instead of bigger ones (7+)...but then u have the ones that swear by the motto size matters. we are all built different folks...men and women! im 38yo, 5'4, 115lbs, and some might say ive been lucky to have had mostly 9"-10" guys since becoming sexually active...thats over 20 years of being used to what most would call huge guys. some girls might shutter at the idea of that. we are all different. but my fiancée now, who is right at 5" at best, we have the most amazing sex!! do i orgasm quicker/harder with a bigger guy? sure! i like it really deep at times (a-spot type of girl maybe?) that is just how im built. but do i feel loved and satisfied with my current man? most definitely!!! id take this "man" (the whole person) over any of my ex's every time and not think twice about it. if/when i get that urge to go big...we deal with it in our own way
there is a lot more to sex than the size...advantages and disadvantages to both...but i think im qualified enough to say it is very possible to make a successful change from big to average. there is just something magical when you can feel the love just by a touch, hug, look, or kiss...let alone sex! hope that helps someone out there

Regina calm down, a big one only has a psychological effect. As long as you and your partner find compatible ways to enrich your intimate moments, you'll be surprised that this might be better than the last partnership. You left the first one due to other issues. Your current partner doesn't have those issues. This means that you will have a much better chance to develop a healthy and sound sex life with him. All the best.Comment

I was in the same position as you before my marriage. I was very sexually active with some "large" men. My husband and I had sex while dating and I could not feel him. After a long time of faking, I started doing the exercises. By our wedding night I could feel him a little. After two years of exercises his small penis felt like some of the large ones I had been with. The exercises work, just takes time. If I ever had a large one again it would probably be like loosing my virginity again. It was a large one and felt like someone was pushing a fence post up my puss!Comment
