Maybe its just something that is not for you. My SO has swallowed a few times, she takes it like a champ even though she usually gags on it. For her its not so much the taste but the texture that she can't handle. The only time I was able to actually stomache it without being completely gaggy was when I was drunk, lol. I think its more of a mind thing, you can't really think about it a whole lot. If you really want to do this... I agree with having it farther in the back of your throat... the less taste buds that are being stimulated by it.. the less you'll taste.... the other thing is... if I do it after I've brushed my teeth(*this is not actually recommended because of the small tears/easy access for STDs toothbrushes can leave in your gums*), use mouthwash, chewed gum... something minty that's strong enough and still hanging around in my mouth.. it changes the flavor from the chlorine/hop-py beer/sea water.... it actually makes it taste sweet.
