It's a tough situation. Clearly there is some sexual dysfunction there with him whether it's mental or physical. And like some others have said, I don't mean to oversimplify it, but it boils down to this:

Are you okay with a sexless marriage? If your answer to that is no, then love or no love, you need to seriously consider marrying this man. I realize that it feels shallow to think of leaving someone you love due to sex. But there's much more to it than that. This man has NO interest in seeing you sexually satisfied. He averaged once a year with his last girlfriend. He refuses to see a doctor about it. Won't consider therapy. In my opinion, the writing is on the wall. This is not just about sex, it's about his unwillingness to compromise, his lack of effort, and his lack of desire to see you satisfied, the attitude "I don't care to sexually please you but you can't please yourself either!". He can love in you a million other ways... but the things I've listed alone will be enough to cause a life of tension and dissatisfaction.

Often times here you'll see the opposite situation posted...the man posting. And I'll tell you the same thing I tell them.......sexual incompatibility destroys relationships and makes for very unhappy marriages. If you're giving your relationship what it needs to be happy and healthy, if you're loving him, respecting him, compromising with him etc and you are not getting what YOU need in return, then the relationship is completely unbalanced.
    "Be what you're looking for."
