A-spot deeper inside the vagina which some claim is another mystical orgasm spot

I'm just saying, the A-spot is pretty boss hog. I think the G-spot is kinda pish-posh whatever, but the kind of deep penetrative sex that hits the A-spot is highly satisfying, but in the same breath I'll say it doesn't really FEEL like much. Clitoral stim feels extremely intense particularly in the area being touched - penetration and A-spot stim in particular create a more diffused sort of pleasure.

After satisfying penetrative sex, my genitals feel like a stuffy nose that has been well-blown, to be completely serious.

I am not sure if the area is even legit, it just kinda popped up relatively recently as another potential pleasure spot so I am not sure if I believe it is anatomically different or someone heard that deep penetration feels a certain way so they went on a fishing expedition to find an area that could account for it just because they wanted to name something lol. I don't know. One could say that what is actually happening is simply hitting the cervix in a particular way that is satisfying to that woman who is not deriving pain from it being hit at that time. Some medical professionals still do not even agree that there is a G-spot because autopsies and other research have revealed no indication of a defining "spot" in women that could be anatomically pointed towards it being a G-spot. And instead they say "G-spot" is just a term coined because people want there to be something there to explain internal feelings rather than attributing it to the collective feelings of physical stimulation plus mental arousal. I personally believe there is a G-spot but simply not as responsive in some women. Overall though it always goes back to what works for one may not work for another. I do not care if it has a name or not, if it works it works. We women can always try different stuff out though lol.

Individuality is the forefront of sex, what works for one may not work for another so use what you do know works and enjoy that.
At the risk of sounding sexist, this is why I love female-dominated forums so much. I wish there was a way to educate young boys and men on all these myths about female sexuality. I sometimes wonder just how honest women are about their sexual preferences, or do they play along to look normal?

Someday, maybe there will be a man that can give me vaginal pleasure. If not, I would like my partner to understand that I prefer oral sex and clitoral stimuation way more.

sp346 & IAS, it seems you're conflating vaginal/g-spot orgasms and orgasms achieved through penetrative sex. I was never talking about any g-spot orgasms in particular, but orgasm from penetrative sex. It may involve all sorts of elusive spots and mental states, but if the penis is moving through and around the labia it involves the clitoris as well. They're attached. If we know that the penis can be desensitized from masturbation, why is it such a difficult concept that the clitoris can be too?

Maybe I've just so happened to have sexual relationships with freaks of nature and that has colored my views.

We are not confusing them because they are quite synonymous and many would say they are entirely synonymous. If a woman has a vaginal orgasm during penetration it is attributed mainly due to the G-spot. It is not simply push something in and out of the vagina and you have an orgasm, biology has prevented much feeling from such an action. It is a compilation of emotions, the reaction of PC muscles and to many people the stimulation of the G-spot during penetration.

If we know that the penis can be desensitized from masturbation, why is it such a difficult concept that the clitoris can be too?
If you want a comparable situation of a female being desensitized by masturbation in the same manner that a male can be with his vigorous masturbation then that woman would need to lose feeling in her clitoris due to her rampant masturbation. This is most commonly occurs in women who use their vibrators too much on the clitoris, they loose sensation and need only that heavy vibration to experience and orgasm much the same way a man may only need his specific hand grip and hard masturbation to achieve his orgasm. Desensitizing means something needs to be lost, a lesser feeling than what occurred before. A woman who cannot orgasm through vaginal penetration is not desensitized the same way because there was no feeling to begin with and therefore cannot be compared. The OP is not desensitized by masturbation, she likes the stimulation and can still orgasm perfectly okay with such stimulation...that is not desensitization that is preferring clitoral manipulation.

but if the penis is moving through and around the labia it involves the clitoris as well.
Yes but I am not sure you understand that the clitoral nerves that are under the skin, which sp also acknowledged, do not mean an orgasm will occur. It is not touch the clitoris and you have an orgasm, it is not have the skin in the vulva area touched or manipulated in some way and she will have an orgasm because clitoral nerves are being stimulated. The actual clitoral nerves are under the skin and in the muscle/fat around the vulva not attached to a part of the vagina itself.

Maybe I've just so happened to have sexual relationships with freaks of nature and that has colored my views.
lol you have not had sexual relationships with freaks of nature. What you have is called anecdotal evidence. That is not an issue as it brings more information to the table in the sense of possible variety but it is by no means a catch-all. Anecdotes and "well this is what has happened to me" are perfectly okay as long as one acknowledges that what happens to them may not happen with others.

Ah, then maybe I'm not being clear and/or we just disagree on terms. I did some searching online. There's a lot of confusing and seemingly conflicting information. I ran across this interesting quote on a "livescience" website: "Women with spinal cord injury that cuts off all communication between the clitoris and the brain can still have orgasms with vaginal stimulation." When I hear "vaginal orgasm" this is what I have in mind - an orgasm that occurs with minimal to no clitoral stimulation. As I understand it, it's nearly impossible with a woman with a sound body engaged in penile penetrative sex because of the female anatomy. Any orgasm achieved is likely "blended" or clitoral because you can't avoid stimulating the clitoris. On top of the clitoral glans being stimulated from penetration due to the connection between the hood and the labia it can also be stimulated from contact with the man's pubic bone. Grinding or other positioning can help.

I don't know if I have really good information that's not getting through or if what occurs in my bedroom is just because of my wife's unique make-up and won't help anybody.

I just asked her: "When we have sex and you have an orgasm, is it as a result of sensations in your vagina, in your clitoris, or both." Matter-of-factly, without even looking away from the angry birds on her phone, and exactly as I expected she said, "Both."

And I'm not saying "touch the clitoris and you get an orgasm" anymore than I'm saying "just touch the penis" to get one. Also I never said that what happens with me is guaranteed for anyone else. I only expressed an idea that might be worth a try based on my experience. When you say she's not desensitized you assume that you know what her sensation would be if she didn't masturbate. And maybe "desensitized" is not the right word. "Accustomed to certain sensations" might be better phrasing. Maybe, possibly, conceivably, weather permitting if she were with the right man and she let herself get accustomed to just his penis, she could get what she wants.

              I'll leave it at that.

This is believed to be due to the vagus nerve. This nerve is not part of the spinal cord, therefore people who have spinal cord injuries are believed to get sexual sensations via this nervous system. However, this is all speculative information that is currently under investigation. Not all scolars even believe in this mechanism.

Does it make sense as to why some women avoid vaginal penetration when it comes to casual sexual encounters (meaning sex with someone that you're not committed to)? Do you guys know how some women only prefer to do oral when they're having a casual hook-up? It seems like most of the people in here are talking about closeness and emotional intimacy that leads to pleasurable sex, so I think it makes sense as to why one would want to reserve that act for someone that they trust or love.

I've heard others say that it's weird or some kind of character flaw for a woman to not engage in penetration and only in oral sex. This goes back to my other thread where I talked about men thinking that we women don't get any pleasure from giving a blowjob.

The way how I see it is that giving oral sex requires no prep time or relaxation. I'm all set to go when it comes to giving a man a blowjob, but I need a lot of work for penetration. Oral sex seems so much easier.

I don't know if that makes sense. It's comments like these that just make me feel bad about not being so enthusiastic about penetration.

Casual sex such as a bar hookup is about just having sex, not about any emotional experience or actually being involved with that person. Rarely, if ever, is the goal an orgasm for the woman unless she happens to be so aroused that it only takes little clitoral stimulation of the woman rubbing herself during sex to have that orgasm. Most of the time the casual encounter the guy is only concerned about getting off quickly regardless of whether the woman does, and even less so is a woman going to ask for oral sex because the casual encounter is just about the sex itself. Sex can still be rewarding without an orgasm which is why many women still like penetrative sex, they just do not need the orgasm to feel satisfied. Then there is the part of not all guys even like to give oral to a woman, especially a random woman, so factor that into a totally random encounter and a woman may simply be more inclined to say penetration only sex just to get that urge of wanting sex out of the way.

I've heard others say that it's weird or some kind of character flaw for a woman to not engage in penetration and only in oral sex. This goes back to my other thread where I talked about men thinking that we women don't get any pleasure from giving a blowjob.
If a woman prefers oral sex then she prefers oral sex. Just like there is nothing wrong with a guy who cannot get pleasure from a blowjob, he cannot so no point in saying it is wrong. A woman may be "meh" about penetrative sex and still engage in it because she knows her partner enjoys it but she may not prefer it in the overall sense. I personally am not the biggest fan of receiving oral sex, I like it but I do not prefer it because it does not do much for me but that does not make me weird for feeling that way it is just how I feel regarding it. Remember the individuality amongst all women, we are not cookie cutter individuals despite some men wishing we were.

I know I said I was done, but I guess I have more. If I sound like a know-it-all man here to prove something, push some agenda, or to be right, I apologize. I really don't have a dog in this race since ultimately I only care about one woman sexually and we're on the same page. I would like other people to enjoy sex fully - so I guess I do have that agenda. Orgasm through sex with the right person makes everything else foreplay. From the way the women I've had relationships with behaved and the in-depth discussions I've had with my wife on this issue, I suspect this is generally more true for women.

I'm fully open to the possibility that my understanding is wrong and that my experience doesn't translate to everybody, though.

I don't know if I believe it either. I'm open to it.

There's all sorts of complex stuff going on for women and men sexually. Like, I've heard women talk about the weird sensations they derive from bumping the cervix. Some claim it can bring them to orgasm. What I've never heard or seen one other soul mention is the (analogous?) sensation men get from the penis being pressed towards the body. Maybe you know of it doing what you do, but I've got the equipment and I don't have a clue what that's about or what it's called or if it's called anything. My guess is that there are probably men that can climax from that (because it feels good), or prostate massage, or nipple play, or mental focus. We could research, discuss, and debate whether all of these things are possible, individual variation, why one person can do X and another can't, and whether or not it's centered on the penis, nerves, brain, etc. Like most things in life, there are layers upon layers and you can get as deep as you please.

Or you can get as basic as "insert penis into vagina." That's what they're designed for. Yes there are people, women and men, who don't climax from that. The female physiology may make it more common for women. But if they can climax via stimulation of the primary centers of sexual pleasure (clitoris/penis), it would seem to make sense that they are able to climax when these are used in their basic ways - provided the person is sound physically. Then it would just be a matter of figuring out why they don’t and resolving it – if they were willing.
