    'Boob Envy'

This might sound strange, but it's something that's been bothering me recently. (And I hope this is in the right place)

As some men may get 'penis envy' where they envy larger, or maybe even smaller penises, would you say it's normal for girls to get 'boob envy'?
I recently started my first job at a club doing bar work and a majority, if not all the girls there are the same age as me (18) or a few years older and all have fairly big boobs. It may sound silly, but in a way I'm a bit jealous, as I think they've been picked for certain roles in the club (V.I.P, promo) because of their larger boobs and the fact that they're prettier. My boobs aren't exactly small, but they aren't exactly big either, but I never seem to have a cleavage unless I wear a cleavage enhancing bra (and I only have one that doesn't fit properly). I'd probably hate to have extremely large boobs like one of the girls I work with, but I'm only just about a C and would prefer them to be a bit bigger, so I have some cleavage at least.

I know there's no way of making your breasts larger naturally, and I'd never get surgery to make them larger, I just wanted to know if I was alone on this one or if not, how I could stop this 'boob envy'.

FWIW, as a man, I don not particularly like large breasts - average to smaller is my preference. I can imagine in clubs that large breasts are preferred because they attract attention, but I don't think that the look better.

Advertising (often subtle) will try to make you jealous of anything that you can pay to improve.

The cleavage look doesn't always come from larger cup size. It comes from how close set your breasts are. Even smaller sizes will show cleavage if they're close together. Mine are set more wider apart and I'm a large B/small C but I don't get the cleavage look either unless my bra has side support to push them together, lol.

You just happen to be immersed in a work environment skewed towards larger breasts, so you're seeing them everyday. If and when you find yourself in different surroundings you might not feel the same envy.

I've honestly never felt jealous of anyone else's breasts. I'm quite fond of mine the way they are.

I think every part of the human body, personality, intelligence, hell even being limber; can be something that people are envious of. I don't see a problem with it unless it becomes an obsession and starts harming a part of a persons life.

But if for work you want to make your breasts seem larger than they are, you can always get a bra that will enhance them and even find shirts (that fit your work code) that help express your breasts more. It's all about how you display them; to be blunt. Certain clothing can help to reshape a persons body, not just females; males as well. There is so much out there that if you want the V.I.P jobs you feel only larger breasted women get and you want the jobs for your resume or even bank account, you can do so.

Or you can always file with HR that you feel sexual harassment is occurring; only well endowed women are getting certain jobs, and things will change. If they don't do anything or you feel retaliation is taking place; file with your state. The state will come down with a hammer and believe me things will change fast.

It's not just that i'm envious, it's that I feel like my boobs should be bigger at my age. I know the cleavage thing is how close set your boobs are and unfortunetly, mine are kind of 'spaced out' also, but I've always thought that's because they're not very big. I'll have to keep an eye out for more cleavage enhancing bras, I only have one and the band size is bigger than my actual band size, so it doesn't sit right.

My boyfriend wouldn't approve of me being given a job such as 'promo' (basically standing outside the club in skimpy clothes trying to get people to come in) because they want girls to wear minimum clothing, usually. I wouldn't want to do this, but I don't mind showing a bit of cleavage on the job, I just don't want to be the only girl in the workplace that doesn't get given jobs such as working with the V.I.P's and doing promo or shots because I have smaller breasts than the other girls and I don't plaster myself in make up and fake eyelashes like they do.

Well, you should be able to do any job you want, your boyfriend shouldn't get a say in that.

That said, is this the sort of job you want? The club may have other jobs that will make use of some of your skills rather than the size of your chest.

Your boobs shouldn't dictate what job you can do. If you are good at bringing in money for the club they will recognize that and place you where you can be an asset.

As a fan of boobs I can say size is not an issue, they are all nice. A boarderline C is more than an ample size. If you want to accentuate them and are struggling with what you feel is ample cleavage, wear a tight fitted shirt.

As far as this boob envy, I say rock what you got and be confident is what you have. Confidence (not arrogance) goes along way.

I have no idea of your age, but I believe that women stop growing at 18, so if you're older than that; aside from gaining weight or pregnancy, your boobs aren't going to get bigger.

I agree with rcoreyus, your boyfriend doesn't dictate your job. As long as you are happy and safe, he shouldn't give a ****. Out of anything, he should support you.

I don't know what your work attire is, but if you are wanting to show cleavage; go with v-neck blouses, or button up shirts; leaving some top buttons open.
Keep a look out for sales at the retail stores in your area and go take a look when they're having one.

I think there was a whole Seinfield episode where Elaine was angry that the coffee shop was hiring only big chested women, and she was going to complain to some organization, and in the end it turns out the owner was employing his daughters (which were all busty).

I think that women can continue to develop into their mid 20's. Men too. 25ish.
