    Getting over my guilt masturbation

I'm a man first of all just like being a member here with women's health. Plus their was no rules saying I couldn't. Ok topic at hand I'm very sexual person. I masturbate with door open so wife can see I'm not masturbating to porn. I'm having guilt when I ejaculate. I feel disgusting etc like there is something wrong with me. I have a faith and play drums maybe that's playing a role. I don't know. I grew up wasting my teen years thinking there was something wrong with me every time masturbated. There was a time where I would do it from 12-13 years not even blink an eye. No guilt then I got 14yrs old OCD AT SOMEPOINT in 6th grade I would take a hot shower short of burning myself because I masturbated and stand in front of mirror keeping looking at myself blink my eyes allot wait till after midnight and I considered day before( me doing this disgusting thing masturbating) never happened.

Wasn't until I had a girlfriend in freshmen year she gave me blowjobs I masturbated in front of her while she was driving it turned her on. One time in the theater watching a movie we were sitting in front couple rows no one could see she leaned her head on me reached across with outside hand pulled it out started giving me hand job till I told her stop I don't wanna get caught . I remember her telling me mastuebation is ok. I was talking to her on the phone in those years she said yea masturbate. Cum in the sink who cares it's normal. Our routine is she would visit lay down with her head laying on the floor reading a magazine to see if someone is coming towards the room. I would use her foot out of site rub against my penis till I cum.

Now she's ancient history never worked out she told me God told her to break up with me . I was an ******* towards the end of the relationship (sexually frustrated) cause we did everything but sex. But anyway I'm happily married now to a wife if I'm lucky once every 2 weeks sometimes allot once a week so I masturbate every other day something's daily.

Can someone help reassure me I'm ok by masturbating and everyone does it even Pastors(I'm not a Pastor just the Churches drummer) or people who go to Church masturbate too right?

So please people help me get over this guilt.

    xbox360blue,

    There's nothing wrong with you.

Why doesn't your wife give you hand jobs every day? What's the big deal? 5 minutes of her time?

      You're in luck.

I know the Bible like the back of my hand.

There isn't a single verse in the entire Bible that says masturbation is wrong. Not a single one. It wouldn't make any sense for God to allow us men to have such high sex drives, and unable to do something about it.

The whole "masturbation is a sin" is complete bs made up by the catholic church (sorry to any catholics, not meant as a personal insult).

Anyway, you'll notice there's tons of thread of women who masturbate also. it's not a domain exclusively to men. We all have needs and we all take care of them the best way we can.

        Obelisk,

You might want to read Genesis 39:9-10 if you're referring to God's view of masturbation.

            Obelisk,

Either you have reading comprehension difficulty or you're intentionally twist God's word in effort to justify your predisposition, which is a serious sin.

This shouldn't be hard for you to do. Google the aforementioned verse for patent edification.

I'm not an expert on this topic, so I googled it and there is no mention of masturbation in this section. I also googled masturbation in the bible and I kept getting the same answer. The Bible never mentions masturbation. Many interpret certain parts about the marriage bed and other topics of lust as forbidding masturbation, but that is up for interpretation. I understand that google is not the best source. Can you provide us a copy of the passage that talks about masturbation?

He can't. There is no such passage. I know the Bible even better than the back of Obelisk's hand. It doesn't exist...the passage, that is.

There is plenty about keeping one's conscience clean, not being selfish, not giving in to improper sexual desire, and controlling the mind's focus. All of these can indirectly deal with masturbation.

When I masturbated it was almost always with pornography except for when I was a teenager. It left me feeling guilt-ridden too. I felt physically and mentally weak. It's why I stopped. The feeling that it's wrong is why a lot of people stop or don't do it. Others just don't get much from it. So, no, not everyone does it.

                  Genesis 38:9 & 10

9 Onan knew that the [e]offspring would not be his; so when he went in to his brother’s wife, he [f]wasted his seed on the ground in order not to give [g]offspring to his brother. 10 But what he did was displeasing in the sight of the Lord; so He took his life also.

Leaving religion aside, I know of no one who doesn't masturbate. Recently I very briefly dated a Mexican girl (read: Catholic) who held a professional position that required a professional, hard science degree. While in her bedroom having sex, she proudly showed me her collection of vibrators & dildos. She told me that when she couldn't sleep she's masturbate to exhaustion and sleep like a baby. Since she's a doctor, she knows what to prescribe for herself. And she never prescribed meds for herself.

My ex girlfriend used to masturbate all the time. When I couldn't be with her she'd call me, tell me to dirty talk her while she masturbated. She's been masturbating since she was 14, I believe, maybe younger. But she was born with abnormally high testosterone & she's always horny.
