I think it can affect the intimacy and closeness you feel toward your partner and thereby cause more sexual feelings to flow. For me this was true, & I think it went both ways.

In the early days of my marriage, I was a full time student and working, plus driving about 20 hrs week. Life was hectic. My hubby often took care of dinner, cleaned up and made sure my car was in good repair and so forth. The extra work and worry he took from me made me feel loved and supported and I couldn't wait to show him my appreciation, which was often in the form of sex. It made me love him so much more because his love and sensitivity to my needs was there.
When he was working 80 hrs week, then I tried to lessen his load at home by getting the grass cut and things that were typically his chores, so that he could have some down time to relax. We were a team and pulled together to keep things up.

I think men who step up and help out when needed are generally more sensitive to their partners need and tries to meet it. It's not just that the doing of more chores is such a hot thing to do. Its the fact that they recognize a way to help out and do their best to do it. They care. And most of us women know that men's love language is often the physical, so we in turn, endeavor to meet their need as well by giving them a hot night of passionate appreciation.

I can't speak for everyone, but in the last few years my sex life has deminishwed somewhat to about once a week - have been married for 11 years.
when I first met my wife we were having sex almost every day... and I had erectyle disfunction... couldn't maintain an erection.
funnily enough I have the opposite and get and maintain erections very easily, but the downside of this is that I do not last long during penetration - 1-2 minutes max before I ejaculate.
I think my theory is this...... while woman are single they want to have sex with their man more often to heel him happy so he won't 'stray', and once they have been marred for a while and are happy that their husband won't ever stray, and their need for sex deminishes?
I don't know if this is correct or not, but that's what I feel has happened in my marriage anyway

Probably, at least in part, because you're not having enough sex. It would probably help if you worked your PC muscles. I have a similar issue sometimes. When we have sex 2-3 times in a week I have decent staying power. On the rare occasion that we have sex more than once in a day, I'm like superman. But, when it goes a week or two I'm the lesser know superhero, Minuteman. I often wonder if that discourages my wife.

I try not to worry about it, because I've tried to explain this to but it seems to fall on deaf ears. So I take an every-"man"-for-themselves approach to orgasms.

I wouldn't stress over it. I read somewhere recently that the average endurance for a man once he gets going is something like 5 minutes.

And its not that important, intercourse is just one part of a good evening.

Maybe guys should worry if the oil gets changed by the guy at the garage.

yeah - I try not to worry about it either... I know the average time a man can last is around 3 minutes or something, but sometimes I wish I had the stamina and staying power of a porn star... I'd love to be able to do several positions with my wife over 10 minutes and finsh off over her breasts... oh well dreams are free LOL!

I once saw someone post something like this on facebook: "It's a fact that men who do the dishes get laid more often than men who don't." When you put it that way, it certainly sounds pretty obvious. :-)

I guess there is an exception to every rule, and often it seems to be my husband. We are members of the "once a week club" too. We get occasional weeks/days there are more chances. We have been married for 10 years and have a six year old daughter.

My hubby has no issues with "staying power." I'm ready for the digital rotten produce barrage from the guys And the the "You go girls " from the ladies He typically goes well beyond the 5 minute average quoted by Jen1447. Don't ask me how he does it, I'm bewildered by it myself.
