You did see the pftttt and smiley face there Trix?

Sex is great no matter how you decide to apply it, providing both parties are on the exact same wave length.

BUT, actually, sex with intense passion of more than just lust, I have to say is a whole completely different type of sex.

That's my "opinion"...Nothing to agree or disagree with where "opinions" are concerned

Ah, I misread the pfttt as "you don't know" and your punctuation. Still interested in your experiences and reflections on them...

FWB is in fact different than FB's. People are nieve off course they are and sex and age has nothing to do with it, it could be the point and time in their life, emotions, immediate past.

Then there is hope. They start of with accepting a FWB, but gain feelings, this is normal for a woman to do, a bit like having an affair with a Married man thinking ah, it's just a quick adventure.

I don't think many people "use others for sex". There I see that as a one night stand.

I don't think finding someone "outside" a circle, is a friend. It's a FB that you maybe, hopefully become friends with, I agree with Justice in that stance. I see a Friend with Benefits as being, someone you know, that you sleep with, no strings, no ties, end of story.

I don't agree with a "rude wake up call" life is about lessons.

I agree with Motor, that yes, life is about lessons but it would be nice to have things done "the nicest possible way" not as a rude awakening so many women are nieve, get burnt, get so hurt because they aren't thinking straight when they make a decision.

I think at 29 that's different. But, then say the 40 year old woman not much older than me Perhaps she has been burnt so many times that she doesn't give a ******** anymore "about herself".

Women and men are equal. We all have feelings and guys have been used to we get that, more so financially.

I don't think you have to justify either Archer what you believe you are looking for but I do think you have to see what others see you may be doing FB. Not FWB. In reading what you've written.

Is is possible that you do see them as FB? And, bad luck if they see you as anything else and then it's their fault? And so bad luck they need a rude awakening?

I'm just not sure how they are a friend when they aren't in your circle of friends. Who then are they, how do you meet and know them more than say for 1 night or a few dates later, is that what you mean and then you sleep with the intention that they know you will only be friends?

Once again, it's a heated topic. We have Mums, Dads, women who have been burnt. Women who like me are not sure that they are FB's that you are referring to and not sure how they really feel about that or understand but then I could be wrong and I am also thinking that you "think" you are making them a friend so it's ok...

We all learn even at 29.

This discussion should explore as you are the OP exactly what people think you mean and nicely question and if wrong so be it, if they feel they might be right but you can't see it (leave it).

I've just again seen attacking, rudeness, difference of opinions, personalities, friends standing up for the other. Let's not do this again huh.

We are Adults. If in doubt please read the FAQ rules in how this site runs. There are a lot of Forums where we can all jump down peoples throats, swear and belittle and gang up and call people liers.

This is not one of them and I don't think anyone is meaning to do it, rather it's the way things are being taken. From what I see you all are fantastic in your posts and thoughts.

BUT, See how I wrote? That is how it's done.

And Little, myself or a Mod will close a thread no need to discuss whether it should or shouldn't or the OP can request via the correct method please, a PM to Little or Myself or a Mod. Not on a thread.

        Last request in this regard.

        Thanks

Archer.. You need a woman in your life, sex, is sex. Meaningless, until you have had love, pfttttttttttttttttttttttttt

Now that was to the point and blunt very well done CW. No beating around the bush with this post hits you right between the eyes. So very good job so thank you for setting the record straight cheers.

They ended up getting together at the end of the movie. But it was very rocky because they both got jealous of each other for dating other people. Before they woke up and determine they really love each other. it was a your Hollywood type movie boy gets girl then loses girl then gets girl back type movie. I call them chick flicks myself lol.

I've stayed out of this thread--mainly because I've been out of circulation for almost four decades. But I do remember how it was when I was single, and the comments made overnight have brought some thoughts to mind.

I never went the route of FWB, but I did try the FB route a couple times. Didn't work out well either time, and I had to break it off cold turkey with both relationships. The thing I took away from those relationships was that sex brings a level of intimacy that makes it darned near impossible for a couple to stay "just friends." That was my conclusion, anyway.

A relative has been widowed for about eight years. A year or so after she lost her husband, she began seeing a guy. From the beginning, she said it was nothing special, just someone to hang out with. A few months ago, she announced she and this fellow were getting married at the end of summer. Now, I don't think she ever intended it to get this far, but while she's been hanging out with this fellow, she hasn't been available for anyone else. I don't know if she's truly fallen in love with the guy or is "just settling." Hopefully, they can be happy with each other for the long haul.

I think, Archer, if you're upfront about your intentions, you can have a clear conscience. You might have more difficulty finding someone to fill the bill if you aren't interested in dating, though. I don't know if it's any easier these days for men than it was in my younger days, but back then it was tougher for guys, in general, than it was for women to score. If a guy was exceptionally good looking, he stood a better chance, of course, but it still seemed that it was not as easy for men as for women. On the other hand, there seem to be a lot more women interested in no-strings relationships these days, so maybe it's easier than I think. The fact that you're planning to leave your area soon may put a kink in the works, though.

One thing I've decided since finding this forum is that I'm glad I'm not single these days. Relationships are hard enough when you're married. ;-)

I think a lot of people forget women can be some like guys. Where the sex is the only thing they really want nothing else they don't care about the dinner the movie and god forbid the flowers. it takes a women and a man to have sex and when they done a peck on the cheek then off to the next guy or girl . That is the real one night stand where a FB A little more thought out with dinner and movie maybe flowers but just no commitment to be with each other and there harder relationship to see happening then the one night stands. You go to any night club across this country and you will see many women and men who will hook up with one night stands then maybe never see each other ever again.
