I need someone’s help with a similar situation. I have been taking trazadone for the last two months. I have started to experience unwanted feelings of needing to “get off.” It’s a very uncomfortable feeling, it’s sometimes hard to sit and drive in the car because of the movement and it’s causing issues in my everyday life because I feel the need I have to masturbate. When I do, I don’t seek to get enough relief. It’s an unwanted feeling and I’ve read that it may be because of the trazadone. Does anyone else have experience with this or what could help me? Thanks!

My wife takes a low dose (~25mg) of trazadone to help her sleep. She does not report any symptoms. Perhaps the dosage you are taking is too high? Have you consulted with the doctor that prescribed it about your symptoms?

I used to take trazodone about an hour before bed and typically needed an orgasm to get to sleep. If the urges are impeding your work day though, that’s not as common and should be brought to your doc’s attention.
